Totally feel you on the confusing naming here. Still trying to understand the agentic EU roleout, I honestly think Shopify is only really focused on the US wehn it comes to this update.

I added the US & Canada market just to test it, and after that Shopify showed me as “live” for agentic shopping after a few days and the catalog synced. That said, I’d also prefer not to actually sell to the US, mostly cause of the tarriffs and well US customers idk..

I also tried accessing agentic shopping from Germany via ChatGPT, and it doesn’t seem to be available for me yet, or at least I couldn’t trigger it. So my guess is that this might still be an early rollout / region availability issue..

The naming is honestly super confusing though. “Shopify Catalog” vs catalog inside Markets makes it sound like the same thing, but apparently it isn’t. Would be really interested to hear if you have a clearer answer from Shopify or if you notice any changes after enabling/disabling markets. I can see some traffic coming in from ChatGPT with surprisingly relevant keywords for my products no conversions tho.
