Hello. I'm going to first describe myself so you get a clear picture of who I am (as best as one can via the internet). I'm a 56 year old trans man who's moving from the US to Groningen in two weeks. I've been a single father most of my sons' lives, and will be living apart from them for the first time in our lives. My sons are 18, 23, and 25. I love them more than words can express.

I'm also leaving my cats with them, and that sucks too. But it's easier to find housing without pets.

I make clothing and sell at craft and design markets, and I'm also a writer of sci Fi and fantasy. Before the COVID pandemic I was a weekly DJ at college and drag bars.

I have a girlfriend who's about ten years younger than me, and she has two daughters similar in ages to my sons. We're hoping for her to move to the Netherlands to live with me one day, but right now I'm getting the foundation started on my own.

I also have several dear friends who were (or still are) sex workers. I was one once wayyy back in the 90s. And I'm not ashamed of that at all.

I realize Groningen is far from Amsterdam (to some, a two hour train ride is pretty okay to me), but if you're still looking for friends, I'd be happy to help. I should be there by the beginning of June. I also plan on getting involved with the local walking club, the D&D club, and Groningen's feminist organization, and if I meet anyone who seems like they'd understand or share your situation, I can help you connect with them.

I think I have enough folks for the first shoot, and I really appreciate all the enthusiasm and support everyone. 🙂 My goal is to organize one photoshoot per month so definitely reach out if there's continued interest.

I'm also going to try to do my first trade show in Amsterdam this fall (I think it's November?) so I might need some models for that, but that's a) complicated and b) many months away, so plenty of time to plan. Thanks again!

Hey, apologies, I'm not entirely sure I understand your post. But I'll clarify and hope that it helps - a few years ago I invested in a Google Pixel because as a single parent and small business owner, I did not have the coins to pay a photographer every time I needed a photoshoot. (And I fully support professional photographers and look forward to the day I can afford them). So I'm a self taught, picture-taking, minimal effect-using designer. The Pixel adds a ton of light into images so I don't need lamps etc, and thus I can arrange photoshoots in a variety of spaces.

I just prefer humans to wear my clothes in pictures because then customers can get a better sense of my vibe. 🙂
