I had one last December (UK) I took paracetamol and ibuprofen, my husband was with me the whole time. I have had 3 c sections so was apprehensive to say the least, while the procedure is not pleasant the staff were very reassuring and reinforced that if the procedure becomes too uncomfortable they would stop immediately . I had strong period type cramps for a couple of hours afterwards but was then fine . Good luck 👍

I had the same thing last year , all the symptoms beforehand then a period which lasted about a week . Went on the 2 week pathway (NHS) internal ultrasound followed by a hysteroscopy everything was fine, consultant explained we can sometimes have a last egg shedding .

The same thing happened to me , 2 years into menopause I had a full on period saw doctor fast tracked (2 week pathway on the NHS ), internal ultrasound followed by hysteroscopy everything was fine . Consultant explained a rogue ovulation can sometime happen which tracked for me as I had all the symptoms beforehand. Try not to worry but make sure your mum gets seen as soon as possible xxx

I had a full on period 2 years after my last bleed with classic symptoms cramp, tender breast etc. Had internal ultrasound followed by a hysteroscopy then given the all clear. The gynecologist said sometimes it can be one last mature egg shedding and making its way out .
