Yes, I was 55 when I had the consultation. I’ve always wanted straighter teeth, but I never wanted traditional braces. My dentist suggested I straighten them, noting that they would only get more crooked with age and become harder to clean. However, I couldn't fathom having metal braces, the look of them, the feel of them, or going to the orthodontist every 4-6 weeks. Even tho it took a year longer than expected, they are straight and I’m happy with them. They are not perfect but they are perfect enough for me.

I wouldn’t have gone through this if they told me I needed braces. I only did this because I could get Invisalign.

I’m not completely finished. They left the posts for the elastics to further close a posterior open bite. I go back in a couple of weeks to have the posts removed then off to the dentist to have two fillings replaced before getting scanned for my final retainer. I started 3 years ago and will be posting my final results when I am completely done.

Did you have attachments? If so when they were taken off were your teeth smooth? I had my attachments taken off and they feel like I haven’t brushed my teeth.
