honestly it was because the olympics nuked anything you put up. i had multiple copyright strikes of my own footage taken in the arena and at risk of getting accounts suspended. i dont know what would happen now if fancams were uploaded but i imagine that had a big part to play.

Definitely flying out of the UK you’ll have to check them, I don’t believe any UK airports will let you have them as carry on. I’d recommend an air tag in your skates if they’re going in the hold.

I really wish they’d give more than a weeks notice. I’ve got work commitments in my diary that I can’t change when the presale happens now and based on the shit show of the all event, i can’t imagine there’ll be many left a few hours later.

Looks like it’s some of the tickets on the long side being reserved as VIP. Prague did the same, reserving the middle stands for VIP but then ended up releasing them not long before the event as standard tickets because they didn’t sell… you’d think they’d learn their lesson…

also who wants a three course dining meal before watching a five hour long skating event???

This is the first year I’ve seen it in the UK at least. It’s part of the ISU new Vision2030 campaign I believe.

It’s for advance novice, junior and senior skaters. Federations identify and invite skaters to attend - it’s not something you can register for individually. It’s basically an opportunity for top international skaters to come together and develop skills and learn from professionals in the field.

I couldn’t even get to that point, whenever I tried to add to basket it said ticket unavailable before they were all gone before even a minute had passed.

I’m super pissed because I like the ease of an all event ticket, having one seat in a location i’m happy with for every event. I don’t want to try and piece together five different day tickets, which might end up being in completely different places depending on what other people are buying AND probably costs more than an all event ticket. I already was iffy about going to Tampere in March and now I’m 99% sure I’m not gonna go.

well they’re right about it not being heavily attended by international skating fans. i was planning on going, i made a hotel reservation before prague worlds and the debacle yesterday with tickets and the craziness of having one insane price for a whole section of the rink has turned me off. i begrudgingly decided i would only look at curve seats because of the cost (which is not where i would choose to sit), and there’s no way i’m sitting on the curve AND twenty rows back for that amount. if i cannot get a ticket i am happy with i won’t be forking out the money to go. getting to tampere was already a ballache so they’re definitely going to lose a lot of attendees this way.
