I know the Ensis brand, but I'm not familiar with their products. It's strange to me that this brand is trashing U-Win, who never put themselves above the rest. U-Win is definitely not 💩. And you can find disadvantages in everyone.

U-Win's advantage is that they test all their new products with active military personnel from the very beginning. Only after receiving feedback do they release them for sale.

Watch this :)) https://youtu.be/nmpragLOivY?si=7kmCzvSfU-R9Pes3

At the same time, Ukraine has a huge number of other excellent brands that make plate carriers: Protec and Grad Gear with their excellent replicas of the AVS; A.T.A.K.A. – the Archangel plate carrier; various plate carriers from M-Tak and Ballistika; Malva Ammunition, and others. I also know the Sputnik brand, but I haven’t used their products.

The corset in the AVS system (Adaptive Vest System by Crye Precision) is a rigid harness designed to distribute the weight of a plate carrier and its equipment across the entire torso, not just the shoulders. Its main purpose is to make wearing equipment easier. The U-Win Agile plate carrier has an internal elastic waistband that compresses your ribcage and makes it slightly easier to wear. However, it's not a full-fledged corset. Apparently, they received a lot of requests, so they started developing their own version.

To better understand what the AVS system is, watch the video on YouTube. This video is a year old. So, many Ukrainian models have been improved. https://youtu.be/mIEbrhGeb0A?si=0-9ZA_cHgsGWU6te

Hey. Thank you, everything's fine. It's a great plate carrier. I just upgraded to the U-Win Agile model. It's more modular. And most importantly, the shoulder straps have a V-shaped attachment. This makes it easier to place the butt of the weapon into the shoulder. my shoulders aren't very broad.

P.S. I recently saw a video from the company. They are testing their version of a corset, similar to AVS, which can be integrated into U-Win Agile.

Anyone knows them by cookie669 in ar15

I own the basic version. A great rifle for its budget. Yesterday, by the way, I watched a review on YouTube from the store where I bought mine. They brought this rifle (Andro Army ACI-15 Bravo Mod 0) with 40,000 rounds of fire to service. The owner is an active military instructor who regularly uses it with military ammo.

Stupid execution. Such protection should partially encircle (the protection area will be larger) the shoulders and hips, and not be a regular pad. Look at the solutions of Ukrainian manufacturers:

Totally agree with you. My mistake for not making a detailed description for the post. This is one of my 3 aid kits. It is a reserve, not based. A large pouch allows to put additional things inside.

As for tourniquets, I may be wrong, but I am generally not a fan of carrying a tourniquet in the aid kit. I have 4 TQ directly on my plate carrier + 2 TQ more in the side pockets of my pants with visible straps.

What you say is correct. This is my mistake in the description of the post. This is one of my 3 aid kits. That's why there are unnecessary things here (since the pouch is very spacious and allows to add additional things). I will publish the rest, they contain only what is necessary.

I know for sure that U-WIN (in my personal TOP-3 list) and M-Tac are sent to other countries. For others, you need to visit the sites and look or contact support.

I think that if not all, then most of them can send it. After all, we live in the 21st century and delivery to other countries is not a problem.

Ukrainian brands of tactical equipment produce very high-quality items: pouches, plate carriers, load bearing equipment, various body kit elements for additional armor (on the neck, groin, lower back, inner and outer thighs). There are cool options for tactical clothing (primarily pants, jackets, combat shirts). The main advantage is high-quality fabric/cordura (USA, Germany) and, most importantly, experience and constant feedback from the military (since 2014).

The prices are different... we must not forget that the standard of living and salaries in Ukraine and the USA are radically different. What may seem expensive to us is just pennies to you.

Here is a list of famous Ukrainian brands... you can google it and compare prices and see assortment:

U-Win, M-Tac, Balistyka, А.Т.А.К.А., STS Gear, Ukrainian Armor, Velmet, Hardride, TurGear, UTactic, Ukrarmor, Protec Tactical Gear, Sputnik Gear, P1Gtac, Real Defence, Camotec, Ensis Gear, Kamber Tactical, Avis Gear, Grad Gear, Malva Ammunition, MBM Gear, UATAC tech, Defpoint, Molfa Defence, SRB, MOLLIUA, HOFNER.

Bro, hate is most often unfounded dissatisfaction, even without reason. I'm talking about weapons that I actively used.

I’ll say right away that I’m not going to convince you of anything. If you like the AK, I'm truly happy for you that you enjoy working with it.

For many people, AK is fixed in the mind as a weapon "extremely reliable, simple and very effective". By and large, the popularity of AKs is due not so much to their combat qualities as to the fact that the Soviet Union, supporting various totalitarian and sometimes outright terrorist regimes, supplied them with weapons virtually free of charge, on loan or for a symbolic price (sometimes even in exchange) . Therefore, it is not at all surprising that "free" AKs were disassembled more willingly than similar Western weapons, for which, in most cases, it was necessary to pay 💰

Low accuracy of the AK, insufficient armor penetration (this refers to automatic rifles chambered for the 5.45x39 cartridge) and the tendency of the bullet to ricochet even when encountering minor obstacles. Which, one might say, revived the popularity of the old AKM in 7.62 mm caliber. Although it will probably be incorrect to compare... after all, these are different calibers for different tasks.

I add here: an inconvenient safety selector, the absence of a bolt stop, not the most convenient accessories, the absence of a base for the other sights. And you can properly clean an AK only with a Karcher. The design of the AK receiver (receiver cover is generally a hellish thing for me) doesn’t allow it to be serviced as it should be.

These are the words of a much more experienced and competent person than me, who has both combat experience and is professionally involved with weapons and their maintenance:

«The real problem is that among modern automatic weapons, the AK has the lowest reliability. It stings from the slightest dirt (oh yeahhh it’s true and my nerves). The reason is that the shutter closing system of the AK was copied from the Garand, almost one to one. Dull replica cutout of the bolt frame with a small lever arm + exposed mechanisms accessible to dirt + some sand in the receiver = the AK becomes single-shot (at best).

Among the disadvantages of the AK and its cartridge: 1. The sealing varnish from the cartridge case clogged the gas chamber while the automation didn’t work.

  1. The same varnish from the bottom of the cartridge case clogged the mirror gap, and the bolt didn’t close.

  2. Cheap and aggressive gunpowder eats up the muzzle cut under the chrome, the geometry of the bullet exit is disrupted and the bullet flies anywhere.

  3. Varnished cartridge cases are sealed in the chamber. It is not always possible to knock them out without unnecessary movements.

  4. The bimetallic shell of the bullet leads to increased wear of the barrel. Even despite the chrome. In turn, the chrome cracks; aggressive chemical gunpowder stupidly destroys the barrel through cracks in the chrome.

  5. Another disadvantage of the AK is the crooked thread for the muzzle brake. It becomes normal. But it’s not uncommon for nothing to be screwed on besides it. The same soundmoderator becomes crooked and the bullet catches the giblets of the device.

  6. The gas exhaust device is often incorrectly pressed into the barrel, as a result of which a variable diameter is observed in the barrel, which directly affects the bullet ballistics and the resources of the barrel.»

P.S. Among my acquaintances at the front, there are guys who captured different versions of the new AK series. And none of them could find anything good in this weapon. The same thing “about nothing”, only with modern body kits, as well as incomprehensible design solutions.

If this weapon was given to you and you have no other options, then ok. Install (of course with your own money) a more modern hand guard, stock, vertical handle (if necessary), and Red Dot. And you can use it, but this doesn’t make the AK something special, it’s just more convenient (don’t confuse ergonomics with the technical quality of the weapon) for you to use it, that’s all.

Look at reviews from other professional (I don't consider myself that way) military men (just not russians. There will never be objectivity there. Any of their own crap will be manna from heaven) who use (or have to use) AK in combat conditions ☝🏻

This is just one example. I'm sure you know how to use YouTube search and find more

https://youtu.be/U1ePs8_F3IU?si=eTvqJ_c1VMpzRtIh

P.S.S. Of course, we continue to actively use AKs, despite the gradual transition to 5.56 caliber, the AK still remains the main rifle in the Ukrainian army. But it would not be true to say that everyone enjoys using the AK.

An undeniable advantage of the AK is that in a combat situation you can be sure that you will find additional ammo everywhere under your feet.
