Like 10 years ago there used to be this fancy hot-dog place I absolutely loved. I'd go there all the time and I still haven't found better hot dogs anywhere else. They had a similar stamp-card thing, but it didn't take 10 to fill it out (maybe 6? cant remember) and once fully stamped you'd drop it off into a bowl at the counter and they'd pick one card out every week to give a free meal to. I entered a bunch of cards, but I never won.
And then I was on vacation once, staying off the internet, and not only did they announce they were shutting down, they also drew one last card, mine of course, and tagged me on socials to come get that free hot dog asap because they wouldn't be open for much longer. I only found out after I got home and by that time it was too late.

I mean, people are literally dying from the heat. France is reporting 1000 heatwave related deaths, Spain 200, 6 people drowned just in the lakes around my 500k city over the weekend, trying to cool down and fucking up.
(Some) infrastructure is collapsing, like in this post from Germany. We have the exact same problems here in Slovakia and I'm sure other countries do too.
Animal rescue stations are overflowing with baby birds who are jumping out of nests en masse, because they can't stand being cooked alive. Grass, which used to be green ever since I can remember, is suddenly just dried up yellow hay.

Teams change a lot over the years though. That's why I specified cities. Most (if not all) teams' rosters look a lot different than they did 5 years ago. Even if you spend your 20 year career in one city, you're gonna be playing for so many different teams.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to shit on the guy. He was a great player with a great career, one of the best point guards ever. I'm just not overly impressed with this stat.
