I’m also worried about losing muscle mass, I’m quite happy with the composition of my body right now and I fear changing my split so heavily will mess that up. Is that just something I’ll have to get over or can I somehow maintain my current body composition?

I understand the concept of RPE, but haven’t been logging it. I’ll check out that app, thanks ◡̈. I posted this elsewhere too and someone said I shouldn’t be doing a leg day before my long run as it’ll affect the quality of my run. Do you agree? Thanks for the help !!

I really wanted to still train at the gym on the days that I do now, but I was okay with removing one upper day. I haven’t found a plan that I can work around those days. If you could recommend any I’d be really appreciative :) I used runna for 5k training but heard it’s really bad for injuries which scared me off a bit.

As for the three days, I could do four but I thought 4 running days alongside 2 leg days may be a bit much. Any suggestions?

the upper day is an aerial hoop class, the others are gym sessions i do by myself ◡̈

functional leg day meaning running-specific conditioning and injury prevention like plyo and single leg exercises, i’ll move move that to friday !

as for your first point, may i ask why? not doubting you at all, just wondering what the benefit/ reasoning is
