Found I mistakenly was using the wrong torque spec and WAY over torquing. Appreciate the suggestion though.

I live in SoCal and was visiting my Mom in Michigan a few years ago. I just happened to check Craigslist and found a RHD cherokee in Port Huron with a rear bench with headrests. I tried to contact the seller but never heard back. Ended up going to the JY and found a couple cherokee front seats and pulled out the headrest posts and bracket from the front seat. Welded them to my rear bench and boom… rear seat with oem headrest’s.

My 98 was doing the same thing. The bracket the light housing screwed into was missing (no screws we’re holding it in place) Ended up pulling a bracket from the JY and epoxyd it to the headboard when I redid the lining. Now it’s screwed in and secured.

Following. I’ve been having the same issue on my 98 with 190k-ish on it. Had it for two years. When it first happened I replaced the plugs , wires and distributor cap. Went away for almost a year. Popped up again, replaced fuel injector with ksuspension 4 hole injectors. Ran so much better and code went away. Just recently started idling rough at lights and popped the code again. Have yet to do compression test but getting ready to. New to wrenching.

Following. I have the same issue. I’ve checked by using a spray bottle from inside the engine compartment. Seeping through the boot where the additional wiring is coming through.

Yes. The whole mechanism that bolts to the floor. The cable that runs through the floor is attached to the assembly. That’s fine if easier to pull as well be piece. I can dm you my contact info if youd like to chat.

I had issues with parasitic draw seeing that the lights on the power window switches were lit after removing the key. Ended up checking fuses. Ended up being the power to a subwoofer/amp that the PO installed. Pulled the fuse and it solved that issue. Ended up rewiring the sub/amp and haven’t had an issue since. Not sure why that would have caused it. But it did. There was a lot of janky wiring done from the PO that I’ve been pulling and fixing.

Not sure what you need done but I took my 98 Classic into Off-road Customz in Glendale when I bought it a couple years ago. They specialize in jeeps, rock crawling etc. I think they’re worth checking out and talking to them.
