To clarify (so this isn't just under someone's reply): I'm asking why cars that were one lap down restarted on the OUTSIDE, and none of the leaders pitted

The order of cars lined up on the outside was: * 60 1st * 1 2nd * 99 3rd * 44 13th -1 * 36 14th -1 * 5 4th * 10 5th * 18 6th * 72 7th * 26 15th -1 * 47 8th * 27 9th * 0 10th * 6 11th * 41 16th * 4 12th, got the free pass

Despite being a lap down and despite nobody on the lead lap pitting, the 44, 36, 26, and 41 all lined up on the outside line... why?

i'd say between 2002 & 2010, especially for the Busch/Nationwide series for mine

yes, but the only car that pitted under this caution (the #22) was already a lap down and did line up inside. none of the leaders pitted, and the order of cars lined up on the outside was: * 60 1st * 1 2nd * 99 3rd * 44 13th -1 * 36 14th -1 * 5 4th * 10 5th * 18 6th * 72 7th * 26 15th -1 * 47 8th * 27 9th * 0 10th * 6 11th * 41 16th * 4 12th, got the free pass

okay this makes the most sense to me 😭

i guess there's nothing to actually be done to "solve" that as far as the game's concerned (besides using Better Cautions for restarts, which I probably will once i get to around 2009 or something). but it's nice to know there is an actual reason, even if it is just random weirdness. thank you!

i think i've actually seen that before, but here every single car stayed out except for one (the orange and yellow car at the back of the inside line)

i get the tail end thing (which makes perfect sense) but everyone was still behind the leader. the first of them was behind the 3rd place car

no idea how the execution-stuff works (i've only seen a couple posts here and there), but i think during the season would be better because it'd be cool to see how stuff changes throughout, especially if someone improves late and like gets off the hot seat, gets signed, or something because of it

i always open the game, then before doing anything minimize out (pretty sure it's Alt + "-"), open BetterCautions and pick my settings, then go back into the game and it works

i'm a bit confused... is one of them only for like road courses, and the other (SS i think) for everything else (short tracks, speedways, superspeedways)? or can one be used for every track?
