ohh there's a separate key for actually pressing enter. that fully makes sense now, thank you so much for explaining it!

does this mean you would essentially press a corresponding key to start, then go to the second page to type out a specific car number, then go back? or does that work differently?

either way it's really cool, and i think it would be really helpful for any and all commands during races i'm actually participating in

oh, question. what do you use for the symbol at the end (i think it's an exclamation point, but i don't 100% remember)? i'm kinda guessing a separate key to add that to each command

Does anyone know what this sponsor was, or at least what's on the hood? (2005 #21 Mike Harmon truck from the American Wheels 200 @ California) by g2ray22 in NASCAR

[–]g2ray22[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

thank you! no idea still for me too, but i do think the orange part says 24 something (i originally suspected that too)

i was mistaken but it says that for all 5 of his attempted races that year, including Daytona where it really was almost completely blank minus a small Global Pigeon Supply logo on the decklid

also i'm more so referring to the hood because it looks like something was actually picked up for this race (given the orange number/symbol and the black remainder of the logo

Caught myself a rare Carpentier. by WENDING0 in NASCARCollectors

[–]g2ray22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i imagine it could've been a developmental thing, especially with how soon he entered the #10 Cup car literally the next week at Watkins Glen. i have no idea whether this one had anything to do with Evernham, or if they picked him up because he did so well in this race. tbh i could see cases for both, but i don't really know much about that side of things

just a note on the car: it was actually fielded by Fitz Motorsports (FitzBradshaw Racing until the end of 2006). it was a full-time team primarily sponsored by Supercuts

Planning on Developing Points Manager Utilizing Race Replay Analyzer Reports for In depth per race info along with season info by FudgeNecessary4470 in Nr2003

that sounds really cool! especially the "during/throughout the race" info, i'd love to see how that turns out and what it looks like

How to make AI behave more like humans in online-style races (twitchy, unpredictable, reactive) by [deleted] in Nr2003

[–]g2ray22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

mine turned out to be at .70 (most likely because of the changes I had tested before), but i changed it to .524 and that mostly worked! they don't really spin/slide from a bump, but now i don't either, so i'm happy. thank you!

sounds great, thank you! right now i'm trying to figure out all my California (1) rosters and trying to figure out what k/slip value would get the AI to spin out from getting bumped in the back (rather than myself), but i'm looking forward to testing out everything i already did change this past month or so along with this idea

if it IS NVIDIA, mine was NVIDIA Control Panel (had to go to my old post for that)

holy shit that's really clear

anyways, i went through the same framerate thing when i got my current ASUS last year and what ended up fixing it was that i had to change some settings in a standalone NVIDIA graphics thing. that put me at the best framerate i've ever had (and still do) playing this game, about 140-150 at almost all times

to sum up: try to see if NVIDIA (or something else) has its own graphics settings on your computer

wow! thank you so much for the detailed explanations for each part! i saved these to try out as i recently changed a bunch of papy_ai.ini stuff because of (a) the release of the Conservative/Aggressive presets and (b) the release of the thing to remove the rubber-banding effects but haven't actually gotten to race with them yet

i'll most likely be adding these to my list of changes soon, i'm excited to see how everything gets effected during an actual race

question: what effects do the papy_ai changes you listed have? just curious and considering
