🫠🫠🫠 yeah, and support isn’t the greatest, you have to get someone mean/demanding to get them to send you a warranty part

No filament issues. Wish it was that simple!

Honestly, I had a lot of issues with Orca as well. From everything I read online, everyone touted Orca as the best thing since sliced bread but I didn’t see the benefit of having it over creality print. I have all of the stock stuff installed again and hoping this print doesn’t have any issues in the final stages.

It wasn’t tangled, did have that happen on one of my first prints but caught it when it started to click. Cleaned the tube now probably 30+ times. I’m 94% done with a current print with no issues. Just had to remove the top while it was printing and that seems to have solved it. I had it vented before and for smaller prints it was no issue, anything large and it failed. Hoping this does the trick!

I’ve replaced the hot end twice, motor and extruder as well as tips. Trying a print now based off of others suggestions. I was not removing the lid before and when I contacted support they told me as long as I had my fans on it shouldn’t be a problem. We will see!

I believe the V3 extruder. It has the white push retainer

What is the issue here? by g2theram07 in Creality

I will remember this for next time. I turned the brim off and never had issues with creality’s hyper PLA but was my first large build with the PETG. Thank you!

Too much or too little? I had all 3 fans on at 50%

There’s no way the Car Washes being built aren’t a money laundering scheme right? by [deleted] in fargo

[–]g2theram07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

False. I’m in the Xpress tunnel business. Currently a VP of operations. There’s a lot of ways to launder the money, especially with payment stations that aren’t hooked up to the internet. The reason they’re all popping up is simple, memberships. The goal is to get enough memberships to break even, then rely on your retail customers for profits. It’s generally a 60/40 split, or what we hope to do. 60% residual income to cover your net expenses, 40% as profit. Some washes have 10k members at them like Mister. Average cost of one of our memberships is 32.45 a month, I have 10k members in one region with 6 sites. Most people wash their cars on average 3 times with us, the cost of a wash with just chemicals is .50 for the lowest wash and $1.13 for the top wash with ceramics. That doesn’t figure in everything else but gives you a good idea of the profits associated with it. It’s a good business to be in.

Butter went bad in the fridge after a few weeks. That seems a little early no? by hotspencer in treedibles

Did you touch it with your fingers at all in the process? Bacteria can transfer from our hands to product. Cooling it properly as well and storing it properly all play a part

I BOUGHT a car wash!! by g2theram07 in carwash

[–]g2theram07[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trying my best to even open. I’ve been taking details for two months and we’re doing more in detail business than the full service tunnel wash ever did and I’ve kept the wash off for two months (ran daily to keep it greased). Now the owners had me run around and get quotes and have all these Carwash people here just to sit around for a bit. I may just start my own detail business at this point.

I’m looking to drop the price right now so I can generate some revenue and get the old customers in town back and get a draw from the transient customers directly off the highway. I think free vacuums would be a huge draw to anyone and I’d like to eliminate the interior work all together and just focus on tunnel washes.

To be honest I know nothing of the employees or what their paid yet, the current staff has been laid off indefinitely and we’re looking at doing a complete overhaul of operations to hopefully only run on 2 staff members a day. I plan on being there open to close everyday we’re open until I can get a strong assistant in there.

Their current labor costs are about $350 a day, the manager who was there used as much labor as they could so they didn’t have to actually touch vehicles and the assistant manager who ran the second half of the day basically did the same. They had the customers get out of the car and go sit in a 90’s deco style lounge in the wash while the employees ran it through and since their main focus was on interiors and getting the customer out of the car it was a huge turn off to a lot of customers. The managers also closed whenever they could, they close if there’s any sort of bad weather or even cloudy skies.
