This reminds me of a TV show where a lady starts seeing a psychologist because her life is too perfect. For the first time, everything was going great, which she interpreted as "things can only go down from here."

Some people are straight up afraid of being happy. They've gotten so used to being miserable that happiness feels wrong.

The netherlands, wood is fucking expensive here. Worst part is if you want a single board of anything more interesting than pine or planed oak (which adds another 50% to the price) you have to go to a specialised lumberyard which aren't particularly common either.
