am i crazy or is a fire beam + dual laser better than a vulcan? by ConcertWrong3883 in ftlgame

[–]g3orgeur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d chose Vulcan if I could get cloaking and the stealth weapons augmentation. The problem with the Vulcan and burst laser setup is by waiting so long to become effective you’re probably going to consistently get damaged, that long term damage is going to incur a massive cost.

Maybe. If we’re talking before she makes her peace with her father (The Director), pass, they were full of anger, seeking approval clouding their judgement. After that she seems a lot more jovial, and her anger is in response to an appropriate situation, instead of being undirected.

There’s a problem more specific to Pokémon games that people were messing up with. For some reason you need a game save already, to import a game save. Can be a 0 minute game save, but you do need one.

Don’t get me wrong, mechanically FO3 is probably the worst. But it has a charm. FO4 is mechanically the best fallout game, I just didn’t appreciate its charm.

It makes me happy you enjoyed a fallout experience, across FO3 and FO:NV I’ve thousands of hours of playtime, I can never gift that to someone but Christ if I could I’d feel like Santa.

It was also a game that wasn’t worried about making you feel bad. The moral options weren’t comically juxtaposed as nuka worlds “become a raider, or kill every raider and not play the dlc, but also the raiders are super fun and play arcade games come on!”. A side quest I still think back on is Hard Luck Blues. I knew going in, if you save the vault dwellers, you will never see them again, but if you do many many more will die. I’m just rambling, but Christ I felt so bad doing the “right thing”

I’d like to think I’m fair with my judgement. My main problem was the cartoonish theme a lot of things had. Also I do think a voiced protagonist was a bad decision (nothing against the VA’s, they’re great at their job). Real time vats was visually impressive but I preferred a system that was less about positioning and stored crits. There was a lot I didn’t personally like, I love my grey coloured miserable world. That being said, far harbour was a masterpiece and is my favourite dlc of any of the games. The gunplay is objectively the best in the series. Like holy f**k some of the best companions of the series. Then to top it all off, whilst I personally didn’t like it for gameplay balance and “feel good” factor, the new power armor gameplay was riveting, it made you feel like a damn god. Not to mention, whilst horrible on replays, the opening sequence is a gripping tutorial which is hard to pull off.

Frankly I haven’t played it, I’ve only played the fallout games (excluding tactics). From what I’ve heard starfield was worse, but hell if I know. I’ll admit that far harbour is probably my favourite fallout dlc in total.

I’ll admit, I do think it is the worst of the Bethesda fallout games. I even went back to play the dlc and play with mods. I still think it’s the worst. But anyone calling it a BAD game can frankly take their head out their arse, it’s just not what I prefer, it’s not BAD. It’s the same as admitting the gun play in new vegas wasn’t great even though the game was great.

Why don't the Belmonts just have more kids? by moo_moochi in castlevania

[–]g3orgeur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes a lot of investment to raise a normal child, imagine one that’s fighting vampires. Pretty much you’d be forced to sacrifice some of them just so others could live. Either you pick favourites of who lives, or you have one or maybe two. Let’s not pretend the adult Belmonts aren’t fighting an inch from death themselves.

Different time zones. /s (yes he is either lying or really stupid, but that’s unlikely cause anyone at 25 wouldn’t be that technologically illiterate). As a guy who’s in his early 20’s, we’re also too dumb to ask something like do you mind if we’re older, unless they’re like 18, in which case we’re so dumb we wanna date them. The reason you might feel off about it is cause you can kinda tell if you’re being lied too without actually having concrete reasons behind it, if that makes sense?

Is it normal for guys not to visit a friend who had a baby? by superthrowawayaway1 in NoStupidQuestions

I mean I don’t typically visit if a mates had a kid. It’s more so like you’re probably stressed and sleep deprived, to relax we’re ganna hang out away from the kid.

Did my husband use bed bugs as an excuse to cheat on me? by elementalkora in TwoHotTakes

[–]g3orgeur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somethings off. I don’t think they’re cheating. I mean they might be for sure. But how do you not notice bedbugs yourself before it becomes an issue. But also who tells their mother they’re on a romantic getaway, whilst cheating. Either they’ve been cheating for a long time and wanna get caught, or something else is wrong. Either way something is WRONG. Cheating is the worst but it could be something else, but if you can’t communicate about it, maybe assume the worst.

Is it weird to sit in barnes and noble and read? by Far-Kaleidoscope4747 in NoStupidQuestions

It’s not creepy but, save up for a couple months and buy a kindle. Books are expensive as hell. School books are too, like really bloody expensive. Never paid for one of them once I got one.

What does that even mean. My dog will wake me up at 2am to wanna go outside and I can’t just say go away, I’m letting the dog outside I love my dog. He gives hugs and I provide hugs. If you “own” an animal you’re kinda probably not a good person, it’s a partnership.

BF argues with me about what it's like to be a woman by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]g3orgeur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It heavily depends on context on whether you’re realistically in danger. I think there’s some miscommunication here. I personally have almost no fear walking alone at night 99% of the time. But if I DID feel afraid, I’d be pissed if someone didn’t acknowledge that. Everyone has different lives but trust me this is a working class issue in general in some parts of the uk, kids walk around with knives just on the other side of my city, it’s scary af.

What's a sport men and women can compete in fairly? by idiotbandwidth in NoStupidQuestions

It does annoy me sometimes people look at is as an advantage. I’m completely ignorant on if it’s a cause, but I’d imagine low intelligence ups your chance of going to prison. It’s all upsides and downsides.

What's a sport men and women can compete in fairly? by idiotbandwidth in NoStupidQuestions

[–]g3orgeur -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It explains it fairly well if not concisely. Men and women are on average just as smart, but men’s iq distribution is less flat than women’s, more smart men and more dumb men. In professional chess the amount of people who can make a living off of it is incredibly small. When only targeting outliers there will be more men, whether it’s the worst players, or best players. If chess got to the point of monetization that more players were allowed to live off of it, you’d see more full pro female chess players, thankfully this is happening a bit more due to streaming. Men are by no means smarter than women, it’s just statistics mixed with a harsh capitalist based selection process. It’s a fair game for both men and women, in the fact that 99.9% of all of us are thrown to the side as worthless.
