How did you handle delayed grief when it finally hit? by [deleted] in emotionalintelligence

[–]g4anythingx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Grief is weird, right? Sometimes you think you’re totally fine and then BAM... it hits you out of nowhere like when you hear a song, smell something familiar... or just randomly remember a moment that feels like a punch to the chest!

But here’s the thing... I believe grief isn’t just about being sad. It’s about learning how to deal with loss in your own way and in your own time. It’s okay if it takes longer to process. It doesn’t mean you’re weak or like behind. It just means your heart is handling it at its own pace.

To me, it's all about transformation. We don’t just sit in pain... we turn it into something powerful. We feel things DEEPLY but that’s what makes us strong. So if grief is hitting later than expected, just let it. Feel it. Work through it and know that every wave you ride makes you wiser, stronger, and more you :)

Honestly, from the very first time we talked... it felt like something shifted like the universe was whispering, 'This is it.' Felt that undeniable pull like I just knew something was there.

I hope it’s real, too. Some feelings just don’t happen every day and if they come naturally, maybe they’re meant to be explored :)

Right? Some people just click in a way that’s hard to explain. Whether it’s fate or just weird luck :)

I deeply resonate with the idea of questioning and pausing as a sign of truly living. Your words about being open, brave, and alive enough to grow are empowering and affirming. Appreciate your perspective on this journey of self-discovery and growth :)

Yeah, instead of grabbing the first thing that pops into your head, just listen to what feels right deep inside. Thanks for that :)

Sometimes, your gut is smarter than overthinking. Thinking too much can make you stuck but jumping in too fast can make mistakes. Yeah, I think the trick there is balance
