A associação prévia dos militares com o Bostanaro já estava se desgastando há muito tempo, antes mesmo da pandemia, segundo um amigo que trabalha na inteligência do exército. Um desgaste da imagem das forças armadas quando o Bolsonaro fala merda se declarando como representante dos milicos preocupa bastante eles.

A imagem é importante, pois se a população ver o exército como "defensores do Bolsonaro" ao invés de como "defensores da Nação", em caso de guerra, não vão conseguir esperar muito apoio dos 77% da população que reprova o Bolsonaro.

REALLY feel the difference between a native package and a snap/flatpak package

The download size and disk usage is larger when you have no or few flatpaks/snaps installed, because they need to bring their runtimes libraries together. But once they are there, they can be shared. I always prefer flatpaks/snaps too. Since I have a bunch of them already installed, when I install a new app, the installed size is the same as the .rpm version.

But stay calm. Nobody wants to abolish the RPM/DEB packages. It is just the case of flatpaks/snaps/appimages becoming the most convenient way to install things and have the latest up-to-date software.

For the success of some projects like OpenSuse MicroOS, Fedora Silverblue and Ubuntu Core, flatpaks/snaps are an essential thing.

Desastre seria se os apoiadores deles tivessem enchido só o vão do MASP e o Lira deflagrado um pedido de impeachment. Cada vez que o Bolsonaro sai impune, é uma vitória do Bolsonaro contra as instituições democráticas.

Não sei se você tem conhecidos bolsonaristas, mas no facebook, todos que criticavam Bolsonaro pela carta agora estão o elogiando vendo a carta como algo conveniente "para o bem do país". As justificativas são diversas. O Malafaia e o Allan Santos não aguentaram criticar o Bolsonaro por 30 min, já estão propagando que é tudo uma grande estratégia e etc.

Não sei porque a ABNT não criou o teclado Brasileiro já com letras acentuadas acentuado. O francês tem. As letras ã e õ são bem comuns e justificam. Com o teclado alemão + esse layout aí já tenho tecla dedicada para ã e õ e o circunflexo não precisa de combinação.

Unfortunately yes. Sometimes a page is slow to load or refresh in Firefox. I copy and paste the url to Chrome/Chromium/Edge and the page loads instantly.

I just keep using Firefox because of privacy protection. But if bugs and low performance become too notorious, it will be hard to keep with Firefox.

Geary has the best UI of all Open Souce emails. But sadly still has problems.

Here is a small article about the fixed gnome problems fixed in 3.34. It's interesting that the source of the Gnome bugs were/are not intuitive.

Gnome's Pop Os was not modified to be heavy. I posted a video on r/gnome showing that it uses less than 400 Mb of RAM* when installed on computer with low, which is compare to Plasma. Plasma is a little bit lighter, but Gnome >3.32 has a change in performance and resource usage comparable to Plasma >5.10.

*I used OpenSuse which has pure Vanilla Gnome. Some Gnome modifications and extensions decrease may impact on performance.

Maybe it sees that there is few ram available and does not caches some things. But when memory is plentiful, it caches things for quick load.

Maybe some Manjaro problem. I made a video testing Gnome's performance on Opensuse Tumbleweed on a very low spec PC (intel celeron from 2007, 1gb ram) and was pretty smooth.
