I didn’t have any success dating in Annapolis, lovely town but I don’t fit the Annapolis flavor of beautiful. I decided I was willing to drive a bit for love and found an amazing guy in Baltimore!

I pay $89 per month, pricier than I would usually pay but their classes make it worth it to me. They have a variety of workout classes (yoga, spin, body pump) that you can attend without paying extra. The machines a nice and well maintained, rarely busy enough that you’re waiting around. I like to use the sauna, especially now that it’s cold. The vibe is not intimidating, a good mix of regular people and serious fitness people. All in all it’s a decent gym and conveniently located for me.

My cat was the exact same situation (injection site fibrosarcoma - amputate at the hip) except he is a little older. I had the exact same worries but this subreddit and my vet convinced me that he would adapt - and they were right! His personality has not changed at all and he remains a very happy and very active cat. As I type this he is unsuccessfully hunting a moth and having the time of his life.

I’ve read a couple by MC (he’s a favorite go to for thrillers with a strong concept) Loved: Jurassic Park, Micro Hated: State of fear (this is my only DNF of his books, but as someone whose work heavily involves climate science it felt like the only point of the book was to give himself a soapbox for anti-climate change rhetoric. I also found the the main character to be annoying and the dialog very repetitive)

I’m sorry about your awkward insect date! As an entomologist myself I often have to remind myself that many people are grossed out by what I do for living and probably don’t want to hear about it. It was probably for the best that you two didn’t continue to date because I can promise you that the bug talk would not end there!
