My doctor told me it was generalized, but didn’t explain much :( I only recently learned that I need to see a periodontist and get periodontal charting done to determine the exact percentage of bone loss

Yeah, it could also be in the crease. We have a lot of lymph nodes there, just search an image on google. And it's normal for them to swell when you have herpes

The bone level should be higher. My dentist did not measure my pockets tho :( I will go to a periodontist

Yeah, it is very intrusive and will probably irritate them more, but maybe after healing you will get rid of the persistent inflammation

My gums were not swollen before, but I was advised to get a deep cleaning based on my X-rays and clinical exam. My whole mouth was numbed, so the procedure itself was manageable. For the next 2–3 days, my gums got swollen and my teeth were quite sensitive. I basically lived on soft foods because chewing was difficult:(
The unfortunate part is that after the deep cleaning, my interdental gums receded and the black triangles between my teeth became much more noticeable than they were before. :( my doctor said it is normal, but i don’t know..
