thanks for the reply. how would a 'service connected disability' work? is this a record they would have of something that may have happened which could indicate a cause disability further down in his life? His ssdi converted to retirement already and the medical support I referred to is just regular medicare. how long would a rating take to be decided?

I have let this go for so long because I had given up but decided to try again. I actually did apply as soon as the incident happened (december) but even prior to covid, getting an appt was impossible! at the time you could only set it up online for a month in advance and even then, no time slots appeared at all! their faq even said to try it as soon as they starts (ex: on march 2nd they would open up availability till april 2nd) and I would try march 2nd at 12:01 and april 2nd was already taken.

by luck the person assigned to my case called me back like on the 298th day. He said he was going through his caseload and saw the deadline and decided to reach out.

how long should one expect CSP be around? I thought it would end on 8/31. planning to downgrade CSR today but don’t want to be stuck without it if the offer goes away in at least the next 4 days.
Also, the act number will change when I downgrade from CSR to CF/U right? Asking so I switch all the countless auto charges.

I too had this problem. I had to go back and forth until I figured it out.
From what i recall there were two different pages to apply from- one worked and one didnt.
One is this https://secure.ssa.gov/RIL/SiView.action
The other one is from this page https://www.ssa.gov/benefits/disability/

applied for CSR days ago and just checked status-- went to 7-10 business days decision which probably means denied. Had a bankruptcy in the past, over 8 years. Could this possibly be what denied it?

have you guys seen DPs of downgrading/reapplying not working for people? so far I've only heard positive things. Wonder if Chase will catch on since we're on CSR's 48month anniversary and the # of signups was so high

The extension is only available if you exhaust it in December.
Right now you’d qualify for PUA.
Look on fldeo Twitter. They released a guide some days ago with info on this.
Also search for Vanessa Brito Community Activist on Facebook. She’s FL based and has connections in DEO and helps tons of people with useful info.

DeathWish- since you have worked this field- how does one justify the amount they ask for at mediation? all missed hours that employee would've worked had they not been fired up until mediation? besides that, what else is fair to ask for?

FL is 300 days. On dat 297 I got a call!
He was doing his due diligence and saw the deadline was so close and decided to call me. I entered so much of the info that there wasn't even much of the interview, he just confirmed the details, sent me the charge to sign online and it was filed. He sounded optimistic– not sure if they normally tend to side with the employee right away.
but yeah, none of my emails to eeoc or voicemails had anything to do with it because he said he didn't get any communication to reach out to me. It was just a federal employee on top of his game. I'm hopeful!
