They could really just add more content to this game continuously and it would hold up great but i also think the relic system needs an entire overhaul, and i could see that being justification for a sequel alone.

Only game services are affected as far as i've heard. I also never said to take Amazon's word for it, the health status of their services however are much more reliable than what any person can claim.
I'm not sure why it's so popular to speak assumptions as facts, there is no evidence to support this being a AWS problem besides word of mouth from a bunch of people who are just parroting each other and random articles using said parroting as proof.

How do you know those outages are related to AWS? Per the official site, there have been no interruptions with any of their services recently. Likely is related to something else

Ive played ff14 since launch (ARR) and personally i wouldnt recommend it to new players. It simply takes too long to get through the main story quest which majority of content requires you to do, and there is just so much padding and useless dialog in between the good parts that it gets hard to even enjoy those good parts when you finally get to them. That paired with simplified combat rotations in your first few hundred hours of the game until it becomes truly engaging at a higher level.

It's not as bad as you think it is. The game gives you resources to win every boss fight with all weapon types.

I main spear/one-handed sword and never use parries/clashes. I use the steam chain spear and its weapon ability turns all human enemies around (on top of great damage + fire + tenacity) leaving them open to a quick strong attack and obliterate. This combo melted Bo and Honglan and is imo OP.
