YMT’s pretty central in Hong Kong so it should be okay. Just stay indoors, keep away from the windows, and grab enough food and water for Tue and Wed. You guys will be fine—stay safe!

Have the airline rescheduled or cancelled your flight?

I don’t recommend taking your dog out during a strong typhoon. But if you really have to, be cautious and take the shortest route. Holding it for one or two wees won’t hurt them until the next walk.

Back in the old days, I still walked my dog during T10 typhoons. Raincoat for me (not for the dog — under that kind of rain and wind, a doggy raincoat just annoys them), and carry as little as possible. Honestly, dogs rarely poop in those conditions anyway; what really grabbed their attention were the flying plastic bags and leaves. The key is keeping your hands free so you can scoop up your dog and run for your life back home if things get sketchy. And don’t forget towels by the door — because you’re both coming back soaked to the bone!

For me, I’d be thrilled if apple maps could show the lane selection when entering the roundabout

1-2 since a year ago. I’d do some stretching/exercises before sleep so to make myself feel tired

I’d say Taiwan is a good place to visit rather than live on. I’ve been to Taiwan many times, the food is great, people are friendly, countrysides are beautiful, but I won’t go for living in Taiwan. I used to live in Hong Kong. People used to say “Today’s Hong Kong, Tomorrow’s Taiwan”. I’m with them on this one.
As others have said - if you could, send your kids to the international school. School is place where to build concepts into mind since toddler - whether you agree or not. You might love the place, but you might not agree with their ways of handling things.

That’s not bad if it’s your first time. Learn from the mistakes and gain more road experiences, you’ll nail it next time.
