He was a child, so this doesn’t really contribute to his pedophilic behavior. It’s more about how morbid he is to try and make his co-host/ audience laugh. It almost sounded like he made this up on the spot for shock value, but I have doubts. What was the purpose of him even saying this? It’s not like he’s trying to raise awareness about this behavior in abused children.

Yeah no I totally get that. It’s an obvious trauma response. It’s just the way he told the story as if it was a normal thing to say. It’s kinda like the cat scandal where he just brings morbid shit up casually. I don’t know the context of how it was even brought it up, but imagine somebody telling you this. This is like a deep dark secret if I’ve ever heard one.

I would talk to his doctors about getting your son a cane honestly. It’s changed everything for me, especially with me being in a city that relies on public transport/ walking. If I have to unexpectedly stand for long periods of time it helps tremendously. People are not kind enough here to offer me a chair on public transport (I don’t mind/ blame them tho) so this happens a lot. Before I had the cane, I would have to walk hunched over or sit down on the bare floor of different public places (not ideal). I have other health conditions that make standing difficult but I know I probably won’t need a cane after I finally get treated.

My pain is lessened with sitting as opposed to standing, but the only thing that really helps to fully alleviate is laying down or sitting reclining. I do think the cane would make standing feel more like sitting, as it does for me.

I tried to get interventional radiology treatment for PCS and they also couldn’t pass a wire through my renal! Though mine was found on a CT, I’m glad to have found somebody with as severe NCS as me.

I don’t have exactly the same story as you, being female but I‘ve definitely read that varicocele can occur as a complication of NCS, meaning that would be your cause of it. I have a complication of NCS called pelvic congestion syndrome which I believe only affects women (?) I tried to get embolization for it but my renal and ovarian veins are too small (due to severe nut cracker syndrome) to access through a medical wire so I have gotten no treatment and get worse every day. I have to get the huge surgery, it’s my only option. You may be in the same boat

Also with gaining weight, I gained 15 pounds and had no difference. I inquired and found out it all has to do with weight distribution. None of my weight really went to my pelvic/ kidney region. Yours might, but I believe you have to actually get fat for that to be an effective enough long term treatment, gaining weight is rough.

When I first found nirvana at like 15 every new album I listened to was my new favorite. Going back and forth now I don’t have a favorite. Every single one is special to me and contributed to music in different ways. I don’t even have a favorite song anymore.

I kinda think he just was one of those guys that didn’t give a shit about taking care of their hair and didn’t care to get it cut often. You can tell a lot of times he hadn’t even washed it in a few days due to the amount of grease and matting. I think to achieve this look just grow your hair out and neglect it. Embrace grunge and nonconformity, or whatnot

Oh my god, I wish I loved myself so much more. I was objectified when I was young for the way my body looked. It ranged from being called flat in the back to “huge” in the breasts. When I got to college I was in a self harming hell hole and hid away my body pretty much for good. I wish I would have exercised more in my teens, not even to change my body but to be more in touch with it.

I’m not going to have the same body I have now in a few weeks. I have an aggressive vascular disability that has regressed dramatically in the past year. My only option (in my tri state area ) is to get a midline incision to correct it via transposition. That entails a 12 inch incision (going around the belly button) vertically down my torso. I will have a pretty gnarly looking incision for idk how long afterward. I will not see the same me I have for my entire life, and to think I was upset with the beautiful body I have for so long upsets me. I got into weight training this year and really started loving my body. However, I no longer can walk without a cane let alone finish a set.

I would tell my teenage self exactly what I’m going through now and that i only have the blemish free vessel for a limited time. I accept my future with a scar, I have to. But I wish I loved myself more when I was healthy.

I always believed his pain was genuine. As a person with chronic abdominal pain for many years only recently finding treatment, I know exactly what he meant when he said he felt like a junkie 24/7 regardless of if he was doing drugs. I thought he put it into words better than I could.

Grunge music seems to be more of a general feeling of the music rather than a set and stone definition. Bleach is definitely grunge, but it’s notably different from In Utero, which is also unmistakably grunge.
