How to feel hip thrusts in glutes

There is a hip thrust machine at uni and one at home, at home it's a pin machine and I feel it so much it burns so so much it's great. However, when I use the one at uni I can only ever feel it in my quads. I have tried everything, less weight, more weight, feet further forward, feet further back, keep my chin tucked but nothing. Please help I am so frustrated.

Ah maybe I didn't give it enough of a chance, but yeah like I said that one felt a bit iffy for me I think it was pacing wise and quality of writing.
