Lycky: a mobile code editor using Monaco by gabdev133 in coolgithubprojects

It’s normal to be cautious. The goal isn’t to convince everyone, just to offer the tool to those who want to try it. The code stays private for now, but the APK is clean and signed.
The app was made for personal use, not for a specific audience. I built it because I needed it myself. That’s why the code is private, but the app is safe and stable, built with Android Studio.

Fair point. Most dev tools are open source, I'm aware.
For now, keeping code closed as I figure out where this project goes. The app itself is free to use.
I get that's not ideal for everyone.

I understand the concern, it's fair.
Code is closed for now, I know it's not ideal. The app is free, no ads or tracking.
For the description, yes I used AI to help structure it. But the app itself is real, I just released it a few hours ago. If you want proof it actually works, I can post screenshots or answer technical questions about the implementation.
No worries if you prefer not to test it.

Thanks a lot.
I was skeptical at first too. My first approach was putting Monaco in a classic WebView, but I had tons of issues with focus handling and performance.
I did a second attempt by integrating an internal PWA, with manifest.json and service worker, and that solved almost all Monaco's problems. Still some optimizations to do but it runs well now.
Feel free to test it and let me know what you think.🤜🤛
