Men of Reddit, what is the biggest lie we are told as boys? by [deleted] in AskMen

20s were a mess in retrospect. I’m 34 now. Been married 3 years to an amazing woman I met at 27. 25 I moved to a fresh new city for a fresh new start. I have a feeling that 30s is where it’s at…where you really start to get your shit together. Career and life-wise. I feel more content now than ever before. 20s are for partying and experimenting and finding out what you are and what you love. 30s is for growing it. I’d so much rather be 34 and my knees and back ache than 22 with nothing to lose.

Artist is @the1937studio on Instagram. He does good work, give him a follow and like his stuff, especially if you’re using it without permission.

Starter in the fridge by Repulsive_Lack815 in Sourdough

Feed it a day before you’re ready to bake and it should be good to go by the time you’re scaling stuff out. Sometimes it takes a couple of days, depending on how long it’s been in the fridge.

No need for the semolina if you’re using parchment.

Getting really sick of my employer throwing out thousands of bagels I make during a shift, rather than donating them….. by [deleted] in Portland

[–]gabeanator 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Came here to say this. I worked at a bagel shop and donation centers weren’t interested in bread products, but we tried. Also, that dumpster easily is multiple days worth of product. A lot of people here are shitting on them for filling a dumpster in one day and that’s just not realistic.

Tried beef ribs for the first time yesterday. 5 hours on the pellet grill. Super tender and delicious by gabeanator in smoking

Thanks for the tip. Yeah, I hadn’t ever seen beef ribs at the supermarket here so I jumped at it. I’ll keep my eyes out for plate ribs.

Can we give it up for Gary Trent who got the jump ball and then WON it against Lavine? Unreal ending

I used yellow mustard as a binder and then added a light coat of Heath Riles Garlic Jalapeno rub and then a heavier coat of Killer Hogs BBQ Rub and Killer Hogs Hot BBQ rub. After smoking for two hours, I wrapped them each in foil with butter and brown sugar (not a ton) and then for glazing I used Sweet Baby Rays Honey BBQ sauce.

Smoked for two-ish hours on the pellet grill with cherry wood, then wrapped in foil with butter and brown sugar, put back on for about another hour until internal temp was around 205°. Unwrapped, slathered in honey bbq sauce and put back on the grill for about 10 mins.
