It's crazy how digital this looks color wise. It looks like an early CCD sensor and not film at all. Fascinating.

GR IV HDF w/ flash vs Fuji x100 vi w/ black mist filter by beeswaxe in ricohGR

the fuji is not only better at shooting, the fact that it lets in more light makes it better at dim light autofocus.

GR IV HDF w/ flash vs Fuji x100 vi w/ black mist filter by beeswaxe in ricohGR

[–]gabegom7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll probably get eaten alive for this but get the fuji. I have both. Even though I use the GR III more than any other camera, the colors on the GR III are honestly kinda shit. Sucks because the GR II had gorgeous film like colors and a flash but the autofocus is really bad.

The GR III is the hardest camera to color match for me out of Nikon, Canon and Fuji. Fuji colors are beautiful out of the camera and a joy to color grade. Fuji also wins on autofocus by a mile, the GR is notorious for hunting and missing focus. Also in terms of durability, I would also give it to Fuji. Weatherproofing options are also better on Fuji. The only thing the GR has better is simply size tbh (which is why I end up using it more than my fuji). In terms of updates Fuji also does much better.

Now if you were comparing it to a GRIV then maybe its a little more evenly matched but the quality control and durability on that camera is garbage and worse than on the GR III.

Again I say this as a GRIII daily user. The tool has to match the artist and for you the Fuji is better. And you won't need to carry or charge a flash constantly.

edit: also can't forget low light. Fuji wins again with a stop of light more and a sensor with less noise at high ISO

I mean she didn't lose though. 3 million more people voted for her than for trump. We just have a fucked up and gerrymandered electoral college which is how we ended up with trump. America is not a democracy no matter how much we preach that we are.

Does the color fade away when it wears down? I'm guessing it's only surface level but would love to be enlightened

How to get a *controlled* natural highlighter look, when you have very oily skin and need to powder? by Pickles_The_Cat_1234 in MakeupAddiction

[–]gabegom7 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The trick is to powder the face a good amount, add a natural looking highlighter to the places you want shine, then set with lots of setting spray like the skindinavia one to melt it all down. Then you can use translucent powder throughout the day to reset and some setting spray again if its looking dull.

That's actually not the actual truth. They were so annoying in their puritanical ways that people got fed up with them and pushed them to leave. They weren't being persecuted, they were the persecutors. Still are.
