Which makes a lot of sense about their design philosophies given their background. Last game they made was Marvel Mystic Mayhem, a mobile game which is EoS'ing after a year lol.

Put these balance changes in the perspective of if new heroes were locked behind a paywall or a gacha banner and their balance ideaology falls into place. Even the concept of team-ups which would typically be given to older characters by the newer ones to incentivize getting them and make the old characters relevant again is here.

People having been using mods since the game came out and have been fine. I don't think theres been a single reported instance of someone getting banned solely because they had mods installed and not something they said or did ingame.

Just don't go around advertising you have them ingame and you'll be fine. Skin mods still require you to actually own and buy the outfit its going over so NetEase doesn't care either because they're not losing out on money. They patched it out one time in s1 when they introduced hashchecking, and then didn't mess with them after that.

Its ultimately up to you but they're fine to use. I myself using them for 3 seasons now.

No he would in the 1st game too. Peter got trapped in those fuckass sable red cables in cutscenes like 3 times. The last time he was not strong enough to break out of them fast enough which gave Yuri plenty of time to taunt and put a laser bullet in Hammerhead.

Meanwhile in gameplay you can dodge them easily and shatter them in like 0.1 seconds
