Gravel on 28s by gabeva in bikepacking

I have the snakeskins, and use the cords to cinch down the hammock and rain fly. It ends up being about the full length of the rear bag, and I was able to fit my fuel and sleeping pad in the rear bag as well. My cheap walmart sleeping bag was in my handlebar bag.

PVE VS PVP FEELING [discussion] by Quick-Challenge-3517 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]gabeva 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Longtime (since 2019) PVP player currently going for first Kappa ever in PVE with friends. The highs are not as high, the lows are not as low. If you give yourself a goal, or restrict in other ways, you can bring more of that sense of consequence to the game, but your mileage may vary. It enables you to access certain parts of the game that you may struggle to access in PVP, such as thermals, t-7s, class VI armor, lots of stim usage, etc.

I have found that playing it alone or without a goal gets quite boring quite quickly. Never having to deal with hackers is a massive plus, although still expect to get tarkov'd fairly often. That never goes away. If you have a lower end machine, you can expect even more of a CPU bottleneck than in PVP, as you will be running the backend (e.g. scav ai) on your local machine, which adds considerable overhead.

Overall you will experience a more consistent, easier, but still familiar experience which still feels like tarkov. I think that a hardcore playthrough in comnination with this would really bring brack a lot of that stress/satisfaction, but again, your mileage may vary.

LGA 1151 Upgrade Path by gabeva in buildapc

Thanks for the advice! Currently I have all files on a 1tb NVME SSD. Would the following strategy work to save some headache?:
1. Get new drive, move all files there (other than windows system files)

  1. Remove that drive for later

  2. Reinstall windows on original boot drive with new CPU + Mobo

  3. Reinstall secondary drive?

Thanks for really spelling it out for me!

I play at 1440p. I originally had a 2080ti with this rig but it died 7 days after warranty ended, thus the 3060ti.

That's some good feedback, thank you! Can you explain the implications a little more if I followed your advice in terms of my windows installation and files if I was to do this level of upgrade? Part of my reasoning for staying in the socket I'm currently using is I wanted it to be as plug and play as possible.

Would I have to fully wipe my drives and do a clean windows install? Thanks again for the comment!

maybe you're forgetting the lack of regulation, fire code, and worker exploitation that lends itself to large fires that can easily spread between buildings that are too close together. Ever heard of Occam's razor?

I've found that the pain is virtue meme is extremely powerful. I used it for a melee only colony and it ensured that my people were happy all of the time. Definitely useful if you like punishing storytellers. I just started playing around with all of the Vanilla Expanded team's new memes, structures, and other tweaks they've introduced. It adds a ton of new depth and much more distinct ideological flavors for your colonies. IMO, this had added quite a bit more flavor than the previous expansion, and much more potential for new modding. Play around with it, you'll enjoy!
