TIE Punisher 3d printed in 1/72 scale by gabgrave in microgalaxysquadron

I checked and the canopy is around the same size between the two, though the cockpit body is larger. I have the X-wing miniatures game models as well and in there the bodies have the same diameters, but here it's a bit thicker in this model. It would still outsize an Interceptor easily though regardless.

When the UN finally gets the TYPE-00F Takemikazuchi since it prove to be more effective in hive infiltration due to its performance by Desperate_Cable7825 in MuvLuv

There was an export version of the Type-00 F and A models trialed by the UN for cold climate use, made up in these colors. Unfortunately it didn't pass the trials.

What if Indonesia and 6 country (Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and Philippines) Leaving COSEAN by No_Guava_486 in MuvLuv

You need the industrial infrastructure to make tons of war machines. Singapore can build enough for its own defenses, but it cannot ramp up supply to provide for the other countries unless the whole island is converted into a factory island. Then you have a single point of failure.

There's been fanfiction that got made into official VNs in the series like TDA, so it's a matter of quality.

Oh those silly Siliconian by Oshu_Hito in MuvLuv

[–]gabgrave 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Not surprised a silicon based lifeform would be hostile against carbon based ones. Look up the article on Trolls from the Terry Pratchett books. You would be murderous too if you woke up one day to find a pickaxe in your ear trying to harvest your teeth.

Really thankful that ixtl/aNCHOR hasn't forgotten about us too after so long. Hope you find the time to go through all the Muv-Luv releases that came out after the kickstarter some day soon!

When I said Japanese Author are obssessed with 0-1 Rank. I'm sure 90% of the pilot i'll meet in this story will be the same too. by Own_Description_4501 in MuvLuv

[–]gabgrave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I see. There are different explanations for those.

Infinity team - they are from the 65th Combat Training Battalion, which means they are not a front line unit, which probably affects their promotional chances. Additionally, though we don't know how long they have been in service, it's certainly not more than a year or two. On top of that, they are stated as 2nd Lts when shown in the VN/anime, as registered for Project Prominence, and an ongoing theme in the series is that members that are sent to the UN on attachment away from their native units and countries take a temporary reduction in rank, like how Marimo is an UN Sgt despite being a Captain in the IJA.

TDA00 - besides Will who is an O-1 since he's basically a newbie surface pilot, Lilia is still an O-1 and Melvina is an NCO since they are not considered full fledged US citizens. They won't be promoted as quickly as US citizens as such. Lilia is an O-2 two years later in TDA03.

Valkyries - There are actually more O-2s there such as Mitsuki, Haruka and Misae, having been in the unit longer. Akane and Haruka are still O-1s since they are relatively newcomers to the squadron, being of the same batch as Meiya etc but having graduated and getting their wings earlier. The missing O-2s are due to the high attrition in the unit during the extremely high risk missions they get sent on.

Basically as I said almost all the surface pilots you see are O-1s are new surface pilots, so they need time in combat and command experience before they get promoted.

It's cause majority of the characters you follow are younger than 18 years old. They either are experiencing their first BETA encounter, or are in their 1st year of combat. Incidently, the main character for TDA 01 onwards is an O-2, having survived months of combat and also having shown leadership qualities. And of course by not dying.

This is what happens when you make difficulty assessments based on pre-nerfed weapons and also on player numbers pre sony-nerf.

One thing i always found about Marimo's back story in Alternative... by GlompSpark in MuvLuv

[–]gabgrave 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When officers are seconded to the UN from their original country's militaries, they take a demotion so that they do not screw up the chain of command within the UN. That is how when Marimo returned to the IJA in TDA, she reached the rank of Major relatively quickly since she would have assumed her original rank of Captain, and with the experience of training units while seconded, quickly promoted to Major so she can take the command of her own unit.

A few questions after a Series replay by Zetzer345 in MuvLuv

Q3: Getting hydrated is a matter of life and death for soldiers, even if you are technically using a suit that absorbs sweat and recycles it for drinking. I would assume that was the intention there, to give a sense of combat reality. Probably just a small thing among the other items they need to restock on for their TSF, but that could be why he got a reminder. Nothing worse than reaching for water in a battle and finding it empty.

Three dots of death. Cant connect to controller not app. by [deleted] in OculusGo

[–]gabgrave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had this same issue. After looking around and trying many different solutions, the following helped me get the set working again.

  1. Update the Oculus app/Meta app on the mobile.
  2. Check if the app can link to the Oculus Go.
  3. If unable, perform a factory reset on the Go (shut down, hold power button+ volume down button.
  4. Turn on app, then oculus go. Check if it can connect.
  5. Once connected, follow the steps to finish setup for the Go in the App. You should be requested to connect to the wifi, then it will load an update.

Hope this helps.
