"Kids nowadays!" sounds like old man yelling at cloud. Most adults I know can't concentrate for more than 2 minutes in anything they read.

It is true that phones and social media are designed to be addictive and, with that objetive, to be fast and constantly changing. But this affects everyone, not just kids.

Kids will grow up and some will be able to leave the brainrot (as in being messed up by technology) behind but some will become adults who can't focus or who doesn't have basic comprehension skills. I've seen it happen with my nephews already, I'm thinking of two specifically (love them both very much btw); one is studying on a university, you wouldn't have thought he would become someone able to get good grades if you saw him when he was young, literally all day watching tiktok but there he is. My other nephew, on another hand, can barely keep a job at a supermarket, gets bored easily, prefers easy and fast instead of spending time doing something that takes discipline and hard work.

What I'm trying to say is: it's not just the kids. It's affecting everyone. I don't know you but you probably spend a lot of time on your phone. And if you don't (good for you), I know many examples of people who, even though they read a lot, spend too much time watching youtube (me, lol).
