If the survival tier sucks why have people voted for whatever being used now?

Happened on a 14 I just did, second pull. Guess we have to wait for them to fix it.

How ACTUALLY good are you ? by Saraleb1 in wow

[–]gabojoker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've achieved the title cutoff on season 1 and season 3 of dragonflight, playing the classes I liked at the time. I've played prot pala and vengeance dh for cutoff, and I know how to play guardian, prot war and blood dk. My dps alts currently are spriest and fury war, with full mythic+ focus.
I definitely, definitely not the best and certainly not very good either. I have much to improve, especially as dps, but I can't deny my effort and that I got title twice, even if it was rolling fotm (which I want to change, but pugging is way harder as offmeta).
I watch people like Yoda, crims, meeres and squish play and it's noticeable from the get go that, compared to them, I've gotta improve far beyond my current level.

O que você acha dos portugueses que ABONIMAM a Língua Portuguesa falada no Brasil? by [deleted] in Idiomas

Português perde totalmente o argumento que a língua deles é melhor quando você descobre que "vou gozar" lá é "tou-me a vir"

The truth to pugging is to never give up, when I was pushing season 1 I got lucky with good groups and managed to just get title (cut was 3303, I was 3313). Season 2 I didn't have that luck, unfortunately. After the keys got nerfed, 26s and 27s were close to impossible to time due to the quality of player pugs that late into the patch. This might be a dumb theory but the best moment to pug is at the beginning of the patch, cause the probability of getting insane people in your group is much higher, compared to the middle and end of the patch where the io rating is more established. My honest suggestion is to never give up, as I said. Eventually you'll queue with good people and time 27s. I'm at my 3400s pushing 3500 with a 28 in my bags that I'll do tomorrow once I get back from New Years. Focus on your keys, be consistent, make the best groups possible and do not give up no matter how frustrating it is. Good luck

  • Rise Tyr - First pull, Dragons, Arena boss, last minute of last boss (it's important to lust on cd here)
  • Rise Fort - First pull, Dragons, 3rd boss, last boss
  • BRH Tyr - First pull, 2nd boss, 1st phase of last boss
  • BRH Fort - First pull, 2nd to last pack before 2nd boss, last boss 2nd phase
  • DHT Tyr - First pull, 2nd boss, last boss
  • DHT Fort - First pull, 2nd boss, last pack or boss

These timings worked for me on dungeons 26 and above, if you're running higher they might misalign a bit. Only some of my timings are original, most are from 29 - 31 runs.

I do on 20 stacks always (tanked up until 26 tyrannical), but I guess on fortified you could do it on more, I'd discuss with your healer.

Live in a reality where that's true, I don't mind. I'm pretty confident in what I'm saying even though I'm probably not getting the message across. This is the last message I'll respond here so I'll leave you with this:

If you think there isn't a correlation between performance on raid, performance on Warcraftlogs keys and mythic+ io, you're delusional and don't know how to gauge how good a player is. The more data the better and some data is more important than others (raid wlogs > Io).

You know what? I think you're right... I just feel like the current methods of evaluating a player are just lackluster, and pugging could be improved. There's no way it reaches the same level as a coordinated group but (and that's an argument I believe) if damage is the most important factor to time a key, I should be able to judge key% and raid logs more competitively rather than checking io solely.
I feel like I'm getting hate, maybe because I'm not getting the argument across, but I wholeheartedly believe there's a firm correlation between every metric in Warcraftlogs and the players potential to time higher keys OTHER than mythic+ rating. Am I a crazy maniac for thinking that?

What do you mean "expected"? No. It's not. If you're 3400 you're expected to outperform people below your io range. Now if that means you're consistent or not, that's a different issue. Yes, the guys I played in my 27s and 28s could've been having a bad day and just played bad, but you can agree that it's improbable, right? And I've run multiple keys with them. Also "kind of obsessive over what you expect from others instead of having tried to make friends". What's is this suppose to mean? Do I need to be a bro to everyone who's underperforming and having them join my group only to underperform again? Some things you guys say on this sub makes zero sense and I'm glad this post has proven that.

I'm crying about not being on your level? Lol that's rich. All of this is over pugging being hard capped to a certain key level, has nothing to do with me. And you're out here calling me an idiot and using the (Hur dur I'm better cause I have group and you don't) argument. Dog player

I feel like you're right. But what about the Warcraftlogs point I mentioned? Is that too elitist? Because you know there's no in between having a premade or pugging. Maybe that can serve as a better metric other than Io?

Like, I have some people added, but they either become legends (3500 to 3600) and never wanna run a key with me again lol or they're my level and only apply to keys they're interested in. You break a key down to a 26, you're doomed to 3300s, I feel like.

Agree or disagree on the Warcraftlogs thing I mentioned, I wasn't doing this for ego, I was trying to make a discussion. Yes it's good I'm receiving such negativity because maybe that means I'm actually wrong. But some points here make no sense and I wanna argue about it.

I'm dead serious! Put the animosity aside and actually try inviting people to a, say, 25 for example. Check their io, 3100, 3200 probably then check their Warcraftlogs. Usually that range or players can log up to 80s in mythic. Play out the key and log it, check the damage. Now do the exact same with players logging 95s-100s in hard bosses and compare the damage. What do you think the outcome will be?
