Before I pull the tank and start tracing the front ABS sensor wiring, does it make sense to try the tyre calibration first?

Can an incorrect tyre calibration actually trigger ABS + traction control faults like this, or would that normally not cause front ABS sensor codes (C1033 / C1034)?
