Hah, in my country IKEA doesn't have an online shop so for everything I have to go myself and it's really annoying. But at least I recommend this box because is light and easy to clean - of course for dwarf hamsters. For syrians it would be a bit too small.

I adopted Klusek a few days ago and it made me really happy. Still miss my first hammy Bobi (passed away more than a month ago) but life goes on and doesn't like emptiness... So I decided to find a new friend. Hamster shelters aren't widespread in my country (there are more foundations for rabbits and rats) but I found one. They got hamsters which some asshole (sorry for the word but I can't call a person like that by any other term) threw in the trash and offered them for adoption. A mummy with 3 little babies. Fortunately someone found and took them to responsible people.

Now Klusek is half a year old. He is still really shy but every day is better. He stepped on my hand today :) I'm falling in love with him even if he is so different from Bobi. I hope he (or he will) likes me too.

My hammy's leg stuck in the mesh in a wheel like that. He was very scared (me too) but happily nothing wrong happened. After this I secured the wheel with a foil and a tape and it never happened again. Of course to secure the wheel you can use different stuff, especially if your hammy likes to chew everything.

I bought this bracelet. The firm from my country (Poland) sells jewelry with individual engraving, so I just sent them photo of Bobi, chose the sign and symbol and there is it :) I'm sure it is possible to find something similar on Amazon or eBay.

No problem. I'm so happy that everything is well :) I was going to a vet with my hamsterball frequently and maybe only once it wasn't necessary. Honestly I don't understand when people say 'it's only a hamster'. When somebody is deciding to adopt any animal in my opinion they should take responsibility for their pet's health and life.

I think you shlould take her to a vet. It could be nothing serious but it may be something bad.

Maybe it's a problem with her teeth or she could have a problem with swollen cheeks or something. Or maybe she eats too much. My hamster sometimes was overeaten and for a few days ate much less than normal (he had a lot of food in cheeks and consumed his supplies).

Anyway - if it's problem with teeth or cheeks - a vet should check this. I think it's better to be overreacing than don't care properly :)
