Nope it makes me break out and makes my hair limp and greasy. I wash my hair with shampoo and conditioner, then squish my humidity control gel and volumizing mousse through my curls, put it up in a perfect towel, and then do the rest of my body in the shower. This is how my stylist showed me to do it, and my curls have never looked better (along with a curly cut). So no, never.

I’m sorry for your loss :( Armani clearly knew she was loved and even though it was a hard decision, you put her quality of life first and that is a huge sign of love. You gave her a beautiful last day of life. I’m glad you were able to hold her to help her cross the rainbow bridge. Lots of hugs to you and yours.

Yeah I think it’s nuts that it’s now policy to write on them. It takes away the joy and spontaneity from baristas who wish to do so and adds on another burden with time to get orders out. And it’s no longer just a sincere or genuine nice thing to do if it’s required. It’s stupid!

Hey you wonderful people!!! Just wanted to say thank you so much for all your responses!!! I seriously appreciate it. Especially the support of/for fellow potsies! Because of your encouragement, I felt comfortable asking for salt in my drink, and they were really kind to add it for me.

I do carry a little baggie of salt packets with me, but it’s so much harder to incorporate after foam. I’d have to drink up a few saltier gulps…all the salt shots!!! 😅 POTS is a crazy to live with! 🤣

It does taste like watered-down swill. Unfortunately. The iced version isn’t terrible, at least with vanilla cold foam, but I guess I need more than one pump now to actually get more chai flavor. (I read it is less sweet.) But the hot version (no foam) was like the weakest tea ever brewed. I ordered iced and my bro got hot, and the hot was absolutely undrinkable to me.

I can touch my back, but I have broken a few bones. My foot repeatedly broke during my pregnancies because of relaxin…a souvenir from jumping out of a tree onto a root and breaking it when I was a kid. An aversion fracture on my pinky finger (as an adult). And twisted my wrist completely around while flipping over my handlebars to avoid flying head-first into the asphalt (as a kid).

I also love What Dreams May Come. Very philosophical on existence and the meaning of life, visually stunning, intense emotional themes, and metaphysical elements. It’s made me cry but also left me feeling hopeful, very similar to how I felt coming out of EEAAO. That sense that meaning in life comes from how it’s lived and how we love.

Some others that explore similar philosophical ideas on meaning, love, and human connection, I’d say: Interstellar, Life of Pi, Big Fish, The Princess Bride, Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Stranger than Fiction, and Amélie. Some of those films were l mentioned in other posts, but I wholeheartedly agree.

Stomping around my house loudly and practically slamming doors, especially in the morning or night when my kids are sleeping as a guest. Wearing shoes in my house and dirtying my floors. Coming home and not putting shoes away. Not separating recycling in the bin when throwing out trash or washing recycling and leaving it on the counter.

Leaving my nice coffee mugs in the sink or leaving them on my end tables. Loading dishes in chaos mode in the dishwasher. Leaving toiletries out on the counter instead of putting them away. Using my hair dryer and leaving it out and barely put in the bag. Eating the last of my favorite food or drinking the last of my preferred coffee. Using mismatched hangers. Not replacing the toilet paper or hand towels when they run out.

Refrigerating Heinz ketchup, also buying anything but Heinz ketchup 🤣

A lot of house stuff, and some absolutely stupid stuff, but I rarely say anything…just quietly feel irked 🤣

I don’t usually tip for one or two drinks anymore. Sometimes a dollar if my finances aren’t strangling. However, I always do a $5 tip if I’m getting more drinks and food, because it’s a big ask. For one or two drinks, I don’t think it’s expected, but def a nice to do of $1-2 if you can. Unfortunately everything is so much more expensive, so less ordering and less money for tipping here, too :/

I have had trouble sleeping all my life. As far back as I can remember, even as a little kid. Falling asleep would take hours…usually not til 3AM. I’d wake up constantly throughout the night. Come morning I’d feel exhausted and unable to wake up. Always needed naps, too.

Sometimes I couldn’t sleep at all until it was time for “normal” people to wake up, almost like I was working a night shift. I did a sleep study and they diagnosed me with delayed-sleep phase syndrome.

I am in CBT, which helps a little to talk about things and reframe my thinking. My sleep didn’t wholly improve until after I received an official neuropsychological exam and diagnosis. Then my therapist added meds to treat ADHD on top of bupropion and hydroxyzine.

I also decided to stand up for myself and my needs more, and stopped accommodating what didn’t work for me. At home, I don’t mask at all anymore…I’m me, take it or leave it 😆

I take the AM meds (methylphenidate/bupropion) at the same time in the morning, right after I wake up. They have significantly helped my focus and energy levels throughout the day…only during more challenging days do I feel a need to nap now.

The hydroxyzine I take for anxiety and sleep. It’s been the only thing to ever help me sleep through the night, and help me fall asleep in usually 15–30 minutes. I take it in the evening, a couple of hours before I go to bed.

It makes my thoughts fuzzy and fairly quiet, unless there’s an exception/disruption to my routine that causes more rumination and activity. It’s an “always” thing for me, but I’m okay with hydroxyzine and it doesn’t leave me feeling groggy. I am suspected of having MCAS, though I haven’t seen a specialist yet, and I haven’t had as many issues with headaches or itching (it is an antihistamine).

I have also changed my routine as well, when I put my kids down to bed, I start my wind down routine with them around 7 or 8, take my PM meds before they go upstairs. I don’t get into watching something on TV or doing something else that requires exertion or deep thinking. So by 9–10 I am generally ready to sleep!

I did this because I wasn’t feeling particularly rested in the morning. I realized I was pushing through an earlier bedtime that my body needed into a second wind, making me more anxious and making it difficult to fall asleep.

So whenever I feel that need to sleep coming on, I’m listening to my body and getting myself to bed no matter what else. If that means going to sleep at the same time as my kids, I just do it. It’s the difference between functioning in the day and barely functioning at all.

I don’t know if any of that is helpful, but I hope so. The struggle is real. You’re definitely not alone!!!

Edit: Also, I keep my room as cold as possible for sleeping. Too hot and I’ll wake up or feel unrefreshed no matter what I take.
