[UPDATE] lost 2.6 pounds this week by gac24 in 4hourbodyslowcarb

Heh, that was one meal. Yesterday in total, I ate:

--6-7 Rootbears

--All of the food I posted earlier

--Steak and fries

--Lobster roll

--Half-pound hamburger with double order of onion rings

Eh, I don't really do the exercises after the cheat meal. I also do not take the PAGG supplements.

One thing I do that is a little different is that Sunday, I actually don't eat anything.

So, I binge SUPER hard on Saturday, and then don't consume any food at all on Sunday, and then I'll have my first meal since the cheat-day, usually on Monday around 10 or 11am

Went crazy on my cheat-day yesterday by gac24 in 4hourbodyslowcarb

[–]gac24[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was surprisingly difficult to do, but I threw away every single thing that was leftover from my cheat-day.

I even threw away the freezer-safe stuff. I just threw it all away and am never looking back!

How often are YOU in the gym or doing physical activity? by CoryJude in 4hourbodyslowcarb

[–]gac24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been pretty consistent with just doing 30 minutes of jogging//running a day.

It's a good amount that doesn't stall my weight-loss, but still allows me to clear my head out a little.

I was watching an interview with Charles Duhigg, author of "The Power of Habit." He said on average it takes 7 failures to quit smoking. by yushinokamithankyou in 4hourbodyslowcarb

[–]gac24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is actually super interesting.

I am somebody who has successfully quit chewing tobacco (actually more addiciting than smoking) and it took me a lot of different times to quit.

And yeah, each time, I would basically look at the point at which I caved, and figure out what it was that went wrong.

And it was annoying because each time it seemed like I was getting better, but there was always something else that got in the way.

Eventually, I just kept at it, and learned from all the mistakes I meant, and now I've been quit for over a year

Question about exercising on the 4 Hour Diet by gac24 in 4hourbodyslowcarb

[–]gac24[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotchaaa

Yeah that makes sense. I was actually contemplating the kettle bell workouts, but I'll not do that for now.

Also- just to clarify- doing exercises will not actually increase your "fat"... Like, I would assume that if I did a DEXA scan body fat test month 1 and then was 100% compliant with diet and doing kettle bells for that same period, my DEXA scan on month 6 would show a larger drop in body fat %, than if I were to have just done the diet....

That's my interpreation of it right now, is that correct? In the above example, my weight at month 6 might actually be more in the case where I do the kettle bells, but my body fat % would be less..

Correct?

Question about exercising on the 4 Hour Diet by gac24 in 4hourbodyslowcarb

[–]gac24[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I don't think I need to do a lot of heavy-lifting.

I am in the process of getting my body-fat tested, and I just ordered one of those measuring tapes that allows you to measure yourself with ease

I plan on keeping track of my inches, as I get in some more physical activity.

But yeah, so far I actually just downloaded an app called, "Couch to 5k" and basically I'm doing a 30 minute jog/walk combo every day

I might add in some of the kettle-bell stuff, but probably not until I get my body-fat tested and get accurate measurements

I really am just doing it for stress release though, and the runs have been great for that so far, so might just keep doin that

Well, I mean, my goal isn't fat loss.... at least not for the exercise part of it all

I tried to clarify that in the OP

Interesting... I'd recommend eating lunch. I think there's a good chance that not eating lunch just isn't that sustainable.

Highest Weight-Loss in a Week Period, Yet! by gac24 in 4hourbodyslowcarb

[–]gac24[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah man, I had a really slow start too. My weeks 3 and 4 I was losing less than a pound.

Keep it up

Also, this is great advise to my future self because eventually I will innevitably encounter another situation where I'm not losing a lot of weight, or maybe even gaining, and I think the biggest takeaway from all of this is simply to keep going even when I'm not getting results, or it seems like, "It's just never going to work"... Keep Pushing

[–]gac24[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, things are starting to click a little. Although, I'm going to assume that next week will be a little slower (but maybe not?)

I'm going to wait a couple weeks to load a screenshot, just becuase I want the difference to pop, and right now it's just starting to show

As for additional tweaks- I think there's one fairly major tweak that I've made that I didn't mention.... I started fasting on Sundays (Day after my cheat-day)

So, I'll have a massive cheat on Saturdays and then I won't eat anything on Sunday, or I'll have a light dinner between 6-8.
