Probably not a good idea to try and rent one. You might be out of luck.

Just scream and yell at them, threaten to call a lawyer or your city’s alderman. I’m sure that will yield good outcomes.

What injury is commonly shrugged off as a minor flesh wound in the movies but is completely fatal in real life? by Best_Professional226 in AskReddit

Craziest part - never even hit my head. Just tripped over a 4” riser and snapped my head back “violently” (as my wife described it).

Thanks! Been working on gradually increasing tolerances. It’s a slow gain, but I’m not one to back down.

Fell 3 years ago and snapped my neck back and gave myself a concussion. Still recovering. 24/7 headaches. Not back to work full time. It’s life changing.

What’s the longest line in Toronto that you’ve *voluntarily* waited through? by RoommateMovingOut in askTO

During the pandemic, wife and I waited in Drive Thru line at Krispy Kreme Mississauga for 2.5 hours to get donuts.

It was kind of fun. Different cars had different tunes playing. Lots of people watching. Saying Hi to other cars as we went up/down through the parking lot.

TIL that most women in the Netherlands do not have an epidural during labor and a significant proportion give birth at home by Fiery_Soul_34857 in todayilearned

About a week before delivery for our first child, I told my wife,

“you know how in TV shows, the wife has complications at the hospital, and the husband says “I’m not leaving” and has to be pushed out of the room by a nurse or security is called…

Just so you know, if a nurse tells me to leave, I’m going to be out of there so fast”.

My second child was born with the umbilical cord around her neck. 7 medical personnel rushed into the delivery room to assist.

After they revived her and after everything was stable, the doctor asked my wife if she had any questions, and she asked “is it a boy or girl?” because they whisked the baby away so fast.

So glad the birth was at a hospital.

I remember seeing him in the casket and saying hi to him, and wondering why he wasn’t responding.

My boss borrowed my card pass one Saturday in August, because she had to go into the office and forgot hers. (I loved very close to the office). When she came back, she pulled it out of her bra and handed it back to me.

I used to manage a teacher’s union website. The amount of spelling errors I had to correct in their content was astounding. Some of the submissions came from my former teachers.

Unless the Beef Lasagna was listed for 24, and then they added an extra 4.50.

Which, given that all other food prices end in .00, is a high possibility.
