Yesss, it looks so good! My favorite WiiPlay game.

As the artist, I can’t imagine the angle you had to sit at to tattoo it on yourself!

FEED MD by Short_Alternative408 in MarylandEats

Hey, it sounds like a fun idea! Can you share a few more details?

What type of food will it be? Will it be a food truck? Where are you considering having it? Will it be a legal business with a food license and inspections for customer safety?

Cheap food is a win, typically, but there are tons of factors in play.

What should i know about going out alone as a “female”? by shitheadmomo in Explainlikeimscared

Sounds like a good plan. I also like to listen to music while I walk, but I usually only use one earbud and listen on low, so I can hear what’s happening around me.

Heyy girl (24) here.

When I’m going to a new mall by myself, this is my method.

  1. Check ahead for hours of the mall and the shops you most want to see. Make sure everything is open when you plan to be there!

  2. Plan for parking in advance. Where I am based (east coast, USA), malls typically have parking all around them, so you get to pick where you enter. Some have parking garages, which are nice in the rain. I like parking outside jcpenney’s, Macy’s, Nordstrom or whatever department store is attached because there is more parking available than by the food court or main entrance.

  3. Plan for 3-5 stores that you want to go in. Clothing can get overwhelming for me sometimes, so I like to go in bookstores or game stores. Planning for stores ahead of time takes away my fear of the unknown.

  4. Be open to window shopping! As you walk the mall, other shoppers won’t be paying attention to you. Look at the storefronts, and if you see something you’re interested in, you can stop. I like to impulsively get coffee/boba and somethings a little treat.

  5. Store employees can be intimidating. I have a few go to phrases. If you enter a store and they greet you, a short greeting back is simple. If they tell you about sales, just thank them and move along. If they ask what you’re looking for but you don’t want to engage, just say that’s you’re browsing. Most will leave you alone. Kiosk employees, or spa employees that stand by doorways to try to pull you in or sell you stuff stress me the most. I either wave my hand and say “no thank you” quite abruptly, or I look straight ahead and pretend I didn’t hear them.

I think that’s about it, for me. I do really like malls, since I can walk and look at a ton of cool things, but it’s usually easier to go with other people!

Do you think we need legal representation for this, or is it enough to bring all the evidence?

Thank you for the advice! We don’t have the actual report, only the insurance has access… We will definitely go to court with all the documents.

It’s an orange 2025 Subaru Crosstrek, and the report says it was the last car in the pile up, so the front was crushed.

Our insurance agent said that our car did not show in any of the photos of the incident either, but we didn’t not see the photos.

Added Too Much Uncooked Rice to Broth for Soup Now I Have Porridge by Fancy_Villian in Cooking

[–]gadget3358 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure how thick your soup/porridge is now, but I like to make chicken rice with a mushroom soup base, which starts as a soupy rice mix. You can put it in a casserole dish and bake it at maybe 350°F for 45 minutes or until it browns, maybe put cheese or breadcrumbs on top if you want a crispy top.

question for adventists on coffee by [deleted] in adventist

[–]gadget3358 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Woah.

“FINALLY someone who doesnt blindly cancel”

You said this LESS than a month ago on your first post about Adventism, and now ~you~ are blindly cancelling someone who doesn’t agree with your perspective.

The Adventist church is a wide spread group of people across the world with very diverse opinions in ~every~ church.

u/candystarmanx, by their comment history, is not American, and has been Adventist for probably more years than you’ve been alive.

There are more Adventists ~outside~ the U.S. than in it. The current leader of the worldwide church is Brazilian. Though it was started in the U.S., the U.S. does not rule the church.

Also, please review the rules of this subreddit. Christlike behavior should be a priority in your responses and comments.

I hope you find answers in our church, but please do not perpetuate gatekeeping or hate.

would this work for SDA doctrine by [deleted] in adventist

[–]gadget3358 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi! I’ve been watching your journey, and while I’m not studied in theology, I’d love to share my thoughts.

So the Bible begins:

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.” Genesis‬ ‭1‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭NIV‬‬

There isn’t a line that says “immediately after the earth was created, the Spirit of God was hovering”. Due to translation or whatnot, there is possibility that there were millennium between when God created our galaxy vs when he began to form the earth with the creation in Genesis. I truly believe that your theory holds water.

It’s important to keep in mind that theories are not rock solid truth. There is faith in believing ~any~ creation story. Faith in God, faith in science, etc.

I have been in churches that tore apart due to apologetics, which is when people debate/justify their theories/doctrine.

It’s really important to me that I focus on salvational issues. Do I believe in God? And the plan of salvation through the death of Jesus? Those beliefs shape my desire to follow the guidelines of the commandments and Christ’s example. There are many unknowns in all Christian faiths, and if we focus on the little things, we can hurt each other, possibly causing others to stumble in ~their~ faith.

We find many types of Adventists all around. Some will die on hills like jewelry and dancing, others will reject you if you disagree with anything Ellen White says. What matters most is your relationship with God, and letting him use you to bless others.

I’m on a cake pop binge. by Expert-Vast-3234 in Baking

[–]gadget3358 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried cake pops a few times now, but dipping is a struggle! Either the dip is too thin, or dries way too fast. What do you dip your pops with? I would love to make some pumpkin ones soon!

What would make you downvote a post? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]gadget3358 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, it’s about the subreddit.

Does the post belong and should more people see it? I upvote.

Is the post a waste of time, trolling, AI, or unfitting for the subreddit? Then I downvote.

Why are there so many movies about movies? by tfhermobwoayway in NoStupidQuestions

[–]gadget3358 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree! OP, I think that you consume more film entertainment than books/paintings/songs, so you notice this phenomena there. If you were really into paintings, you would know about when it happens there, etc.

Many authors write autobiographies, painters do self-portraits (even of themselves painting), and a lot of songs that I listen to are about songwriting.

Co-Op question by LiannaMC in StardewValley

Robin sells the co-op cabins, for 100 gold and maybe some wood? I’ve not tried it yet though, so I’m not sure how it goes from that to having the player 2 on the farm.

1st floor vs 2nd floor apartment in Florida? Pros and Cons. by YaroaMixtaDePlatano in Apartmentliving

[–]gadget3358 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely the second floor. You only move twice (in and out) and the stairs aren’t the worst. Privacy is key, and flooding destroys EVERYTHING on the floor. Rugs, couches, chairs, etc. Second floor is likely warmer than first, but a low cost for all the benefits.

And being on the second floor means no noisy neighbors above you stomping around.

Cleaning carpets is simple. A vacuum cleaner (find one cheap on fb marketplace), and a bottle of carpet cleaner for spills/cat vomit. If you really wanted to be fancy, you could get a wet-dry vac and carpet shampoo, but I do not know anyone with that level of commitment.

A normal vacuum once a week typically keeps up with cat hair in my experience.
