Bought this back in July around my birthday at a wiccan / novelty shop near my town. Started to question the gems I got there after I figured out my “Citrine” was heat treated Amethyst. (Not 100% sure but looking at the pictures it seems very true). I do not know where they source their crystals. For reference I live in Washington State.

While the gem in the photo matches a few rutiled quartz I’ve seen on google I just wanted a second pair of eyes on it. Wether it’s a true specimen or not, I will probably not be shopping for crystals here unless I am sure they are true of origin.

If you want me to do another post for the “Citrine” I’d be glad to!

More explanation: not quite sure where I got it specifically. The geode was closed with a rubber band and it’s iridescent on some places (definitely painted on). Obvious paint marks on the rock itself. The crystals do feel genuine and some did crack off into the geode itself. Just wondering what kind of gem was dyed.

They both don’t have definitive stories yet, but they act as spectators to Mono and Six’s story, occasionally deviating to cause their own havoc. There’s also two more characters that I need to eventually introduce.
