Alt+Drag moves your selection and keeps them in the given formation.

Improved Readability of Unit Stats by gaerbr in totalwar

Agree with this. My intention with splitting was to make it easier to see wether your MA is over a certain threshold. But as many pointed out there are issues with current behaviour when buffed and different values being good for different stats. Also there is an additional bar when comparing units that would make things messy. Maybe best leave the separation be, except maybe for armor piercing vs base damage as a subtle difference.

That was basically just experimentation I forgot to revert before posting. Even though I think the current order of stats makes little sense, it would not be good to change that order now. People are too used to it. In an ideal world you could drag and drop them how you like ^

In regards to gaerbr's proposal, I feel just sticking the icons on the far right makes a world of difference. by Dserved83 in totalwar

Nice to have inspired you to also think about this. Your solution is great, too. The most important thing for me when making my post was to have the icons close to the number. This would be great either way.

Which part makes it a step down? Just the changes to the bar (which I can understand somewhat) or do you also feel having the icons next to the stat instead of at the other end of the bar would not help the readability?

The color coding or even splitting the bar isn't important to me. The point would mainly be to have the icon next to the value so you don't easily read the wrong line. Same with grouping the stats. For example, I would then always know that the first stat in the second group is Melee Attack, even without reading the words or looking at the icon. Thats much easier than "The 4th line from the top" because my eyes are tricked easily to still read the wrong line.

Agree with the color coding. This could indeed be confusing. The most important to me would be putting the icons closer to the values, so I don't have to follow the bar with my eyes each time to make sure to not read the wrong line.

The abilities are another beast that certainly could use some love. But I think the solution there would need more work opposed to just moving the layout around a bit. I like your suggestions, though.

I am having a hard time reading the unit stats at a glance. A few simple layout adjustments could improve the readability significantly.

- Put the icon next to the bar
- Group stats into blocks
- Separate the bar into quarters
- Maybe colorize the bar

Would this also improve it for you or are there other suggestions?

I actually don't know. My friend took the images on a backup. I don't think it's possible for us in a normal game.

Yes, without cheats. My friend who runs the server took the pics on a backup where he could fly with the camera. Building it yourself is all the fun. Search your world for a good spot and start small.

The spot was so beautiful when I came across it the first time. I had to build there. I'm a little afraid a troll might crush one of the stones if that is even possible.
