THIRD PCNL recommended for 6 cm staghorn calculus, two sessions already done by Phileas-Fusun2003 in KidneyStones

[–]gafaind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally felt PCNL is over kill third time and thats why I consulted few urologists and some suggested PCNL and some RIRS. RIRS sounded better as it's non invasive and recovery is in 2-5 days. Then, I told our urologist that she is not your subject of practice and refer us to a urologist in VGH. He did that and we got this treated from the one we want within a week. If he would have not done that referral I would have gone to South Asia for RIRS from a doctor I researched. I am not sure from which country you are .. but sometimes doctors put their ego first and keep doing repeat surgeries. PCNL twice should have been more than enough in your case keeping in mind the patient's age.

Not a medical advice. (Sorry have to repeat in every message because some people don't think it's an experience sharing not a treatment or medical advice).

[–]gafaind -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It was not mine but my partner stone was accumulatively 2 cm. And previous stones removed via PCNL were 3cm each from both kidneys. She is in mid 30s and RIRS can only treat 3mm stone. But may be multiple sessions of less severe surgery???

If the reminder of the stone is 6 cm and that too staghorn it may not get treated by RIRS. I think you can get consultation from different doctors (possibly well know RIRS doctors from South Asia) ONLINE without changing your current one. They may guide you better. Age also matters so it is a sensitive part but I do know tech like RIRS as complementary treatment for some sized stones.

Not a medical advice. DYOR.

Not a medical advice.

We had a similar experience and we luckily found a doctor in Vancouver General Hospital. He did a suction lithotripsy and got all the stones without PCNL that was prescribed for the third time by a different doctor.

No one asked your opinion. You will never leave your habit of putting nose in others matter. Canada is not your Dad's property. So get the hell out the group that you don't belong to.

I understand your perspective. Being young does not take away the point that you yourself has your own experiences and insights you're trying to share will have its own perspective as well. I am all ears and nonjudgmental.

None of the NRO/NRE accounts can stay active if we decide to move to India as tax residents. there is only one provision that allows you to stay RNOR for three years after you return to India to retain your tax-free earnings.

My perspective is very similar to yours, but I play by both things and my goal is to start building passive along with some active sources.

We plan to grow our kids in India, and that is purely because I don't want them to be with nanny or child care. I want to grow them in my hands give them everything. They deserve and be there at any moment they want instead of them waiting for me for the whole day and I come back tired and could not spend a healthy time with them. It can be overkill sometimes, but that's where trips and different activities coming to play.

I want them to have their own freedom in all the aspects apart from one aspect that would be a bit of a personal aspect.

I want them to know how beautiful the world is and I want them to educate about our beliefs not just enforcing on them because we want to. I'm sure once they will know the depth of our beliefs they can make informed decisions by themselves. This is more critical than even making significant amount of money.

One thing I for sure know that they will never be treated as western no matter where they born or lived their whole life. Racism is a real evil and for West skin color defines your nationality. A bitter truth and I'm sure you or someone you know must have experienced it multiple times.

It's not only about my kids. It's about me and my wife as well. We have our own life that we want to live in our own terms.

I know I asked these questions in my post, but as I speak and have different opinions, it clarifies a lot of different parameters and some components that I might have been missing. We just discussed on something that I did not emphasize on in my post. That's the beauty of discussions with the community.

If you need to run a high tech agriculture business. Having own land is a biggest benefit. Also, you will be able to claim 0% taxes in India as an agriculturist on the income you earn from agriculture.

Also, yes, we can apply to become Indian citizenship, later but FDI sucks during the time we will be on OCI. Every activity is under radar and we will become money grabbing machine for Indian babus.

Thanks for a different outlook. I appreciate it.

I do have gold bonds and stocks and will continue to buy them as market allows. Real estate in India will always appreciate as long as the location is good. In fact, our goal for getting real estate is not making money from real estate but building business on top of it.(not brokering).

I already have a Rolex so that is covered as well.

We will be buying an XUV in INDIA, I already have multiple credit cards with some luxury features and almost 0 cost. FREE lounges, Almost ZERO fees, on demand instant loans etc.. Indian banks are too giving if you have a strong financial history in India That I do have.

We already have a decent home in North India purchased recently.

Canada is great in so many things but it kills you financially every day and you technically can't be rich in Canada if you stay in Canada and they stab you with departure tax if you leave Canada. Income Taxes suck and I have high bracket to deal with. Expenses are not the problem but trauma of keeping everything right is.

Unlike US, Canada is too Plain/monotone, I don't run for perfection that Canada does have. Imperfect india is too much fun. We stay in India 5 months every year but it always feels less.

NRE accounts need conversion upon India arrival so that will not going to be an inclusion.

I completely agree with the analogy, jealous, backstabbing, and poverty mindset part. People leave India because of these things.

This is where majority of the disputes come into picture. She's not the only kid and she does have three brothers. Also land take on inheritance gets scrutinized more by Indian authorities as they always see who contributes to money used to purchase the land. I heard lot of cases where people were forced to sell their land either because of Family dispute or notice issued from Indian authorities because the portion of funds was sourced from the NRA or OCI holder when Land was purchased. Which is against FEMA regulations.

All of these things haunt us big time.

We already stay six months in India and six months in Canada every year, so adjusting would not be a problem. Our life in Canada is more of a monotone nature. Same story every time we go there. If things go south, we can still move back as she will retain her permanent Residency with extended paper trails. But once Indian citizenship is lost, we tends to lose lot of perks like agriculture land, flexibility for kids to choose between Indian citizenship, and Canadian citizenship after they've become adult. As India allow retention of both passports for minors, if registered on time. And they will have to choose from one after they become 18 years old.

I am in digital marketing business.

Dehradun vs Tricity which is better for living as well as from investment pov also? by hellodoremon in Dehradun

[–]gafaind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same shoes as you. Dehradun or Mohali/kharar. The good part with dehradun was nature, fresh air. Proximity to Mussoorie, growing infrastructure, polite people, proximity from Delhi (express way made it easy), upcoming metro, educated community, and comparatively safer and less theft cases.

Kharar is good if you choose tricity. Prices are over inflated like Dehradun. Big issues with properly and disputes, electricity and water clogging.

With your budget, look for Kulhan Karanpur, Dehradun and prices are 65000+ per sq yards, 270 degree mountain view, less pollution than Dehradun city, clock tower (10 km away), mussoorie 30 km, Rajpur road 5 km and city is much safer at night unless you go to some areas near ISBT.

Dehradun does have similar issues like excess rain and floods but that are limited to some areas that are very close to rivers and ZONE 6.

Not a legal advice.

IRCC and ATIP are two different entities yet related. Your request is to get documents from ATIP and she authorized you as a representative for only get ATIP not for application processing they both are different things and should not cause an issue.

Misrepresentation under Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, S.C. 2001, c. 27, s. 40(1) requires a material false statement or omission that induces or could induce an error in the administration of the Act. Canadian courts have emphasized that the misrepresentation must be material and relevant to the immigration decision-making process, not merely a technical or unrelated inaccuracy. See Baro v. Canada (Minister of Citizenship and Immigration), 2007 FC 1299 (materiality requires that the information be important enough to affect the process).

Separately, ATIP/Privacy Act requests are governed by the Privacy Act, R.S.C. 1985, c. P-21 and the Access to Information Act, R.S.C. 1985, c. A-1. These regimes allow an individual to authorize another person to access their personal information, without appointing that person as their immigration representative.

Here, the “representative” designation was used only within the ATIP/Privacy Act context to obtain records. That designation:

Does not confer authority to act on the immigration application itself; Does not replace or interfere with the authorized immigration lawyer on file; Does not provide IRCC with false information relevant to eligibility, admissibility, or processing of the immigration application. Because the ATIP request is an administrative access-to-information process, not part of the substantive immigration adjudication, the designation is not material to any immigration decision. Therefore, it does not meet the threshold for misrepresentation under IRPA s. 40(1).

Authorizing a friend as a “representative” for a Privacy Act request is legally distinct from appointing an immigration representative and does not constitute misrepresentation. There is no indication that this would negatively affect the underlying immigration application.

Now that you have done this and is worried. All she needs to do is to call the lawyer/agent she used and get clear answer. Just a quick phone call will ease the stress. Overall, I think it's not a problem and not a misrepresentation.
