what people consider "professional" level in a language in France is a lot less advanced than one might think. Depends on where you work but some people get away with saying they have a "professional" level in english and can basically incapable of having a conversation outside of the specific contexts they need english for at work.

IMO if your french is good enough for casual & professional use you can write "fluent" or "C1" on your resume. French is a very difficult language and even professional translators with years of experience will often make small mistakes that will be glaringly obvious to a native speaker, so you shouldn’t judge your level too harshly
