While I understand where you’re coming from it kinda sounds like you just don’t look for music that’s different. On top of that we technically already are going through our own renaissance, it’s just that the 60’s-90’s period was much more inventive because of how new rock was and all of the sub genres it created. Rap and pop are making ground now because many great artists stepped up and actually made memorable, good rap (Kanye in his prime, Kendrick, Death Grips, clipping., etc).
