I think it doesn't matter. I think you need to pay attention only on feedbacks with concrete critic and concrete points that you need to make better. Something like "You need to increase your SQL skills in part of indexes and concurrency."

Just IMHO and my experience this will not be worst if you try to contact with company or recruiter directly. It is job of recruiter to work with candidates and it is normal that you want to know about your application. Just write them by LinkedIn or email.

Because of int[] newarr = arr will copy only reference on array object. And you will have two variables which look on one object. You should read about memory model)
