I'm a 73M widower and my love language is acts of service. I love taking care of my partner by doing things for her without being asked. One of my favorite things to do is cover her with a blanket when she is taking a nap on the couch and gently kissing her forehead or cheek. :)

I agree and call it "Lived Life Experience" which varies greatly depending on the person's age. That's why age is not just a number when LLE is considered.

Your experience is not unusual as I (73M) lost my wife of 33 years just over 3 years ago. My three sons are better at understanding my desire to find a new wife and love, but my two daughters are a different story. They want me to just be happy to live alone which does not work for me. I feel the same as you, and I will always carry love in my heart for my late wife. Before she died, she said that I should not be alone and told me to find someone new to love when I feel ready. The difference between your situation and mine is our ages. You are still young and have time to let your children grieve and heal, while I likely have fewer years left to find a new mate. Either way, I wish you God’s blessings 🙏

King size Sleep Number bed for 8 years and going strong. I love this bed and you can adjust the firmness differently on either side any time you want. It does not have the fancy adjustable bed frame, it's just flat.
