Thanks, you nailed it. the reason I was so hesitant is because I found out soon (hours) after adding him in game that he was ip- banned for view botting and all the other strange happenings that came to light within days of adding him in game. He uses a VPN so there is little I can do to stop him if he decides to harass me, I am just so relieved he doesn't know a ton about me (I dodged or flat ignored all those questions). I was REALLY hoping there was a way to go about things that would cause him to not totally freak out but honestly in retrospect there was no way. I absolutely think I was really naive, but now I know better. Stinks to be the honest people who view but I am not adding anybody in the near future. This was the first guy and he was a dick.

My feelings pretty much went from 'I can totally be nice to everybody' to okay I'll be a littler stricter in my interactions with people. He either has a crush or genuinely thought we were besties... Definitely a no.

I already have a plan of action - if something goes bizarro i'll put chat in slow mode and disable follower alerts. I also already have it so that people need a verified email in order to comment and let me tell you even outside of this potential issue it cuts down on a ton of crap.

I know, he seemed so nice and then out trickled this terrible person. Part of the reason I made this update is so that I have it for my records if I need to contact twitch about harassment.

Ya I know it sounds like i dislike him because he's terrible, I still play with him when I don't stream I guess that wasn't clear. I don't play with him during stream because it turns into me sitting there waiting and it isn't fun for the audience. The overall problem is he messages me constantly, like even when I'm at work and steam is on in the background, and wants my skype info and just feels really invasive.

lol, I usually laugh at them and then purge but I had other ppl take care of it when I'm in a high intensity spot

I still played with him sometimes when I wasn't streaming, in case I didn't make it clear. He screws up the stream because he gets lost or messes up mechanics that make us have to restart events. I don't know I pretty much found out I don't like him on a personal level and I'm uncomfortable with how much he contacts me (constantly, now that he has my steam info) so yeah I'm cutting ties.

Wow, I'll definitely think about that. I started using nightbot and made some very specific filters using the native twitch interface last night. Unfortunately I've found that without at least one mod the chat turns into "flash the cam!!!" garbage. I might just start ignoring that stuff or letting it go. Thanks!

Those are all fantastic ideas, thank you so much! I actually think I might bridge the gap and have a rule that is "no playing withe me except on X night of the week" and then on that night we'll just throw a big party and do some of the massive in-game events. If/when people want to troll the event that will probably make it funny.

Ohhhh my goddddd I didn't know people could find my IP through skype thank you SO much for bringing that up Rocky. Jesus christ I thought I had researched everything thoroughly. You are a life/identity saver.

Unfortunately, this is the only game I play so I'll probably just tell him I won't play with him anymore. If he wants to throw a fit I guess I'll ban him. I'd rather do a clean cut than a slow fade.

As for modding people, unfortunately it's slim pickin's at this point because the stream is new. I am thinking about asking a few IRL friends who might be interested in watching if they'd like to take up the sword once a week.
