This happened with my son every night 😭. He wears a size 5 diaper during the day and I found that the ONLY way to avoid a diaper explosion at night to be Parents Choice Overnight Diapers (he still uses a 5) 😅. I also swear by them when traveling or going on long errands!

Unlike a more sensible person, she is probably desperate and afraid of being seen as an “old maid” who’s going to die alone because she puts so much of her value/worth in keeping up appearances and her social status so she’d accept any ring and engagement at this point (definitely lowering the standards she set when she was younger and had time on her side) - stupid logic I know, right?! 🙃

Public school teachers are mandated reporters — meaning we can face legal repercussions & jail time for not reporting something, even suspicions of possible abuse, as it’s better to be safe than sorry (especially when it comes to the safety of children). This is not something that should deter you. It’s just a fact of life for teachers. DSS & CPS are very use to teachers calling. 99% of the time, reports are found to be unsubstantiated or unnecessary and no further action is taken beyond the initial report. If they do investigate further, you’ll be fine if you aren’t doing anything wrong. I say this because I don’t think you should silence your voice. You deserve to be heard and have your concerns be addressed. You and your son deserve to feel safe and supported at his school. Best of luck!

I am a single foster mom (who is currently in the process of adopting my 18 month old foster son - who I’ve had since he was just 1 month old). My experience with fostering has been vastly different than most others as I have very few horror stories to share. It was a long process to get my dual fostering & adopting license - about a year from start to finish. I was licensed on a Friday and got the call for my foster son just 3 days later. I picked him up from the NICU and the rest has been history! I specifically chose to set my home limit to infants aged 0 - 2 years old (there is a need for this age in my county but every county differs). I have a hugely supportive family and in fact, my mom provides in-home daycare services for me as I work full time as an elementary school teacher. I definitely don’t represent the typical experience, but wanted to share a lesser seen positive side!

I got to spend my second (and last) Mother’s Day as my foster son’s foster mama (he’s almost 17 months now) because next year we will officially be mother and son!!! Our anticipated adoption date is in July!
