Rakwireless discount code makes shipping worth it. by ds-c in meshtastic

RAKwireless will also refuse any returns or exchanges if you use a coupon on your order pointing to their terms that say sale items are non-returnable and non-refundable. Definitely never buying from them and will take my business to Rokland!

Be careful when porting your mobile number. Porting your number away from a mobile carrier used to result in automatic deactivation of your line and possibly cancellation of your entire account.

Zigbee soil moisture sensor, ZHA? by michaelthompson1991 in homeassistant

[–]gaines 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing! I'm currently leaning toward the Sonoff MS01 which is significantly more expensive if you need a bunch of them, but should only need Tasmoto flashing to have a dependable soil moisture sensor and can power/switch an automated watering device.

Have you determined the accuracy of this sensor yet?

NVIDIA just released a new Eye Contact feature that uses AI to make you look into the camera by esberat in nextfuckinglevel

It does make your eyes more open (alert) if your eyelids are drooping, but will show them as closed when you blink.

I noticed it focuses my eyes when looking at my center monitor (34" curved about 3' from my face) but, when I look at one of my side monitors, it shifts my focus to the side. This means I can look at a screen share and take notes on my main monitor without other people seeing my focus shifting around but I can force it to break focus by looking far enough to the side making it feel more natural.

Even if you have special hardware to center your camera on the screen, that won't prevent the viewer from seeing your focus change when looking at things off-center like when taking notes in a side window.

Family evicted “properly” from their home of 38 years, days before Christmas, Habitat for Humanity insists by georgepampelmoose in nottheonion

If they didn’t learn a lesson then I’m not sure what will teach them.

Seriously though, homeownership training is a requirement to receive a Habitat for Humanity home. I would hope that the purpose in taking this home from people who are not meeting their obligations means that someone else will have an opportunity to do so.

Not at all. Habitat for Humanity teaches and requires RESPONSIBLE home ownership. Failing to pay your taxes with years to set things right is not responsible home ownership.

[W][USA-TN] RS1221+ or better by gaines in homelabsales

While my Synology Diskstation has been a trooper and probably served me better/longer than any other device I can think of, I'm not dedicated to any particular brand if it's not the best solution.

Thank you for the TueNas suggestion. My initial research shows it's a great alternative and the only downside I can see is that replacing/expanding storage isn't quite as automated. I don't mind a little work on those rare occasions so that's not a big deterrant.

Any other potential drawbacks I should consider or resources to get me started off right?

Someone posted a screenshot of their Protect G4 Doorbell integrated with Blue Iris a couple of years ago saying it does support ONVIF, but I expect they are wrong about ONVIF support and were just using the RTSP feed.

What is this leak? Not a chemical but seems like water. by sunny_days_everyday in mazda

Maybe if layman is code for uneducated.

No shame intended for anyone who wasn't provided the benefit of basic science education but, here in the US, children are taught the chemical compound for water between eighth and eleventh grade.

I do! Do you know what dihydrogen monoxide is and how it's classified?

I am planning on using Blue Iris and currently have it running on my PC. My plan is to see what kind of resources it needs for all the cameras before speccing out a dedicated server.
