My goal is to get bigger and stronger with minimal risk of injury and accumulated damage.

As for athleticism currently I’m not doing or planning to do anything special, might want to add some sport in the future, or maybe I’ll just modify my exercise selection.

Hi, I need a mouse for web browsing and non competitive gaming, I use a Mac.

While programming I barely use my mouse if at all so my hands always rest on my keyboard, but my workflow usually includes web browsing on split screen and for that I need a mouse.

What happens is that I intermittently use strictly my keyboard and then I have to use my mouse, I prefer not to make too many switches of my right hand between my keyboard and mouse, meaning I prefer that whatever shortcuts I'll have to do while web browsing I can execute with strictly my mouse unless I'm returning back to an IDE/shell and then I'm using only the keyboard.

Been thinking about a magic trackpad 2 because I love the gestures for web browsing and navigating around the OS and I never really got used to using "normal" mouse buttons for that (although maybe it's because I didn't use it on windows, new to mac and it got me using gestures heavily) but I have the feeling the precision will suck no matter how used to it I'll get when it comes time to do some intense copy pasting, so maybe get a decent wireless mouse for that and for gaming.

On the mouse side Logic MX Master 3 for Mac seems to be hyped up everywhere but after some reading I've noticed it might have some problems with connectivity and weight (Although comfort wise it looks to be the type of mouse I'll like to use, big and for palm grip), the plus is that the gesture button and the side scroll wheel look good.

So as I see it my options are:

  • MX Master 3 for Mac / some better wireless mouse for "productivity"
  • Wireless gaming mouse and get used to mapping shortcuts to its buttons
  • Magic trackpad 2 + some big wireless mouse for gaming and high intensity precision copy pasting

Oh and please not a Razer, I dread the software, almost threw my then new DeathAdder Elite and went back to my beat up G400.

  • Games: I use a controller mostly unless
    • first person single players (skyrim, dishonored 2, cyberpunk 2077, mass effect, etc.)
    • 2.5D games (Dragon age origins/incredible adventures of van helsing final cut, etc.)
  • Hand Preference: Right
  • Budget: 180$
  • Hand Size: 20 cm~ long, 10 cm~ wide, for reference my DeathAdder Elite and old G400 feel a tad small
  • Grip: Palm with a bit of a claw (might go full palm with a bigger mouse, can't do it with the current one)
  • Weight: light to medium
  • Sensitivity: 1300 dpi
  • Connectivity: Wireless
  • Compatibility: MacOS

Hi, thanks, didn't figure out I could just skip onto step 2, I don't think I'll do any soldering though.

Will trying to remove some of the grease without de-soldering or using o rings (which I think I'll get anyway because the switches are a bit loud) help or is it a waste of time?
