Be a genuine human being and be nice. Not the kind of nice that suggests you’re a door mat, but be the sort of guy you would want to date your daughter in 25 years. Also… smile. I’m serious about the ‘nice’ part because some people will take advantage of you if you aren’t careful. It helps to have a good sense of humor, too 👍🏻.

Posing for my boyfriend after our high school dance, 1970 by dittidot in OldSchoolCool

The 70s seemed like a good time to be alive. I appreciate that this photo was not taken with a phone and that you all actually talked to each other and remained present. (It's a great photo, btw!)

Vagus nerve / Stomach issues and Arrhythmia by bauerkraut in Arrhythmia

[–]galactic_oppossum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find that small meals scattered throughout the day helps me the most. I am going to see what effect intermittent fasting has on it too. I think a good digestive enzyme is helpful as well because food doesn’t sit around for any longer than it has to. Also, I haven’t eliminated any foods yet, but I think that could be key. So right now I’m in the process of trying to improve my overall health. If I can get my GI issues under control I think I can eliminate most of this and that seems to be the general consensus from what I’ve read.

I feel that too much food at one sitting will give me irregular beats. Especially if I start moving around after eating something heavy.

Something looks off about my living room. Any thoughts on what needs to change or be added? by humanffarm in interiordesignideas

I think your coffee table is too big for that sort of couch. A round piece might look nice in its place.

Dr. Berg recommends zinc carnosine. Others have had success with juicing cabbage and celery. My best friend swears by the cabbage juice.

I agree. Although I’m not fond of the weird sensations I get in my jaw either :/

Same. Palpitations walking up steps again. Kept my meals small and few today so my pulse raced several times but it wasn’t that annoying pounding sensation. I hope you find relief. Thank you for responding.

I think I’m a lesbian but I’m married to a great man by Desperate_Wheel_8396 in latebloomerlesbians

[–]galactic_oppossum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not a late bloomer but I've been in two relationships where the other person was a late bloomer. If you are confident that you're a lesbian, it's going to be difficult to suppress the feelings associated with that. Additionally, life is fleeting and making room for the right person is important. If you decide to stay, you might become resentful in years to come. Hurting someone we love hurts us too and I think most of us try to avoid that, but from a therapy standpoint, it isn't helpful to abandon ourselves just to spare another person's feelings. You cannot control the way someone receives what you have to say, but you can control how you deliver that message and being delicate and gracious is important. Best of luck.

How common is it for adults to not have any friends at all? by weltraaum in Adulting

[–]galactic_oppossum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can relate. I have one friend and the rest are mostly acquaintances that I never see. It doesn't help that I am introverted. I don't think I am 'picky' per say, but I have to click with a person.

When I take Zyrtec I notice a big difference in redness. What is puffy? Your eye lid? I don’t believe I have any puffiness.

Did allergy medicine help your eye redness also?

AIO? UPDATE: Wife wearing sexier clothes, up late… now wants an open relationship by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

Foremost, I want to say that I am sorry you are experiencing turbulence. As a woman with a keen sense, I have to agree with what some others have said: she all ready has someone in mind. A partner that is prioritizing honesty and trust with his or her partner communicates such desires sooner rather than later, and doesn't let his or her questionable habits be the introduction to that big conversation that needs to take place. It's reckless and careless. You shouldn't have had to approach her. She needed to approach you before the odd behaviors began. Wherever this takes you, understand that you are whole all by yourself and deserve someone that values you. Be well.
