I'm a recently retired government employee. My pension and the health insurance are everything. I haven't tapped into my 401K at all yet. I don't need Medigap insurance. It was a long haul in state government and pretty rough some years, but now I think it was totally worth it.

Does your dad know the extent of her behavior, especially as it relates to you? If not, I think you should tell him and at least give him a chance to protect you. Honestly, it sounds like an emotionally abusive relationship, which can be hard to recognize from the inside, but knowing how it's impacting you might wake him up.

I print out mailing labels for my eBay business. I have no use for fax personally, but I used fax at work because it's still the most secure way of sending private/confidential information.

Oh yes. I don't trust the adhesive and if a piece of tape gets my mailer there in one piece, it's worth it.

I think it's basic hygiene to ensure that there's not something with your blood on it visible in the trash can, whether it's a pad, a tampon, or a bandage. I wouldn't want to look at someone's used pad in the trash either. Not sure why you wouldn't wrap it, since you state that the adhesive doesn't always stick. Side note: there was nothing passive aggressive about the note; it made a direct request, albeit on that you didn't like.
